Absolutely they cut the product to the least size possible to sell as a full violin/viola damp-it!! Cheap - EXTRA SMALL for a 4/4 violin... Looks like something that would fit a child's instrument..... They cut the size to the least possible dimensions to try to call it a 4/4 violin viola damp it. It was pencil thin and very short. Totally felt ripped off.

The product is used as a humidifier in a violin or violin and helps with the tone in drier conditions within a home during the winter months. Also helps with controlling shrinkage of the wood which might lead to cracks. Very easy to use, soak in sink for a couple of minutes, wipe off excess water and put in an f hole of the instrument.

Classic case of you get what you pay for. These humidifiers are awful. They only hold water for a day, they’re difficult to get inside my violin since the material is less firm and somehow less slick than a Dampit, and the rubber end stopper fell out and is now rolling around inside my violin, so I have to take it to the luthier to get it out. Worst purchase in a long time.
