Easy to use, happy with the results; works on hardwood no problem, just go slow. Already recommend this to my fellow woodworkers!

I’ve used them a lot in pine wood, and it works perfect every time. Don’t know how well they will drill in harder wood. I was afraid they were to weak, but so far none of the drills been broken. The set included a lot of extra drills.

I have made 35+ beads mostly out of softwoods like Eastern Red Cedar, White Pine, and Yellow Pine. So far I have not broken any of the drill bits. I am using a inexpensive Craftsman Drill Press and have it set as close to the recommended 1000 rpms as I can get. I have made 12MM, 20MM, 22MM, and 25MM beads. I usually clamp the wood to the drill press table but I have also made a few without clamping the wood. My 9 year old granddaughter has probably made 10 or so beads and has no problem getting perfect beads. Just be sure to go very slow and start out using softwood and you should be OK. I may try to make some out of some Oak and Hickory boards I have to see if I am successful.

Cheap made, so I should have known. They shred the wood, break easily, and definitely don't cut balls out that aren't broken or half shredded.

Does the job just fine, however make sure you take your time. Forcing the bits will break them!
