This unit is exactly what I needed. Draw in cool air. Blow out hot air. One can even draw in air while the other blows. I used this option often while prepping my bedroom a few hrs before bed. Good speed. Sound helps me sleep. Not obnoxious. I need my room to be very cool/cold in order to sleep. I do not want to use the HVAC throughout my entire living spaces just to cool one room. I have not had any issues. Very easy to place in window and operate. Its basically a boxed frame that holds two fans. I used it every night. I still have it in my window during very cold weather because the air will flow thru the blades without having it on. For me, it is very much worth the purchase.

I simply cannot understand how someone designing a product that may be used in a consumer's bedroom could decide to install indicator lights that light up an entire room. The lights on this fan are too bright, but this is an easy fix with some electrical or other opaque tape. That is my one gripe. This fan is quiet when it comes to fan noise. I prefer a bit of white noise while I sleep, and this provides it. I would not rate this as a noisy fan, but instead an acceptable level of fan noise. Even for a bedroom. If you need a quiet fan, this one might work for you. That said. It's certainly not silent. The in/out feature of this style of fan is very powerful. I have a small room with a single window, so creating a draft with the door closed is impossible. With the fan I am able to circulate the air in the room. The room feels cool and fresh even on a hot summer day. I had been using the A/C frequently, but since i had gotten the fan I have used the A/C twice. When it's around 95 degrees or warmer out I find I need the A/C. Otherwise, the fan does enough work!I haven't tested out the temperature feature just yet, as I prefer the fan always on for the white noise. This model did not arrive with a remote if I recall correctly. I wouldn't have used one anyhow. Overall, this is just an effective fan. Would recommend. Especially excellent for horizontal sliding windows as you can stand the fan up on its side. There are instructions with the fan as to what I mean if this is a new idea for you. Would buy again.

My home office is a disconnected garage that we renovated on buying our house. It's great. It's my own space for work. But, being a garage, there are only two openings - the main garage doors (which are now sealed), and a door (well, a wooden door and a storm door now). As a result, I've always had problems getting good air flow - it can feel stuffy, humid, or even stale. The mini split we installed does a good job at maintaining temperature, but lacks a good fan breeze. So I decided to give this a try. I don't have a window, but, whenever I'm out here, the main door stays open, and the screen in the storm door is usually open, even on super hot or cold days. Since the storm door has a screen, I did a bit of a hack job - I installed some strips of dual lock velcro on the ends of the fan and on the door frame. As a result, it's strong enough to hold up the fan, and I can direct one motor in, and the other out. I feel like the air quality has increased as a result. It's certainly not a professional look or install, and having to put it up and pull it out any time I come out to my office (because of the power cable) is a bit of an inconvenience, but it has helped quite a bit. However, it's not without faults. The first downside is the fan quality. We have some high-end fans at our home and... well... these just don't match up to something like a Vornado. They can certainly move air, and, perhaps, in a sealed window frame, it would function more as expected. But, even if the fans are directed outwards, I can still feel wind coming in. But good luck getting any air flow on low settings. The other downside is the noise. On high, it sounds like a large box fan. It's loud. It's obvious a fan is going. But it's also not a completely unpleasant sound either. So, that's it. It's a basic fan. It has temperature controls that I'll probably never touch, which might be nice for you. But it's not anything special. And it works for what I need.Would I buy it again? Probably, even with my hacky setup.

Fan works great and has been for years, love how compact and versatile it is. Simple to use and found all sorts of uses, cools in the summer, helps clear out smoky kitchens (whoops) and makes a nice white noise for sleeping at night. All in all a solid purchase.

This is a very effective fan for rural CT. It's always a good sign when the fan blades reach near the surround so there's not much gap and more draw through. Mine has been running continuously for a month since new on low. Noise is a little high but flow is also high for the low setting. The noise is bland, no problem for my sleeping nearby. Others may vary. I have it set up in a 1200 sq ft house with an AC wall mounted on the far end from the BR with the fan. It pulls cooled air through the house and out, even during the July 2023 heatwave in the northeast. The AC is only 6000 btus. It will also work well when nights are cooler to have open circ then close off as the day heats up.Left to right fit to my 1960s wiindows was fine. I had to patch some gaps around the expansion panels with weather stripping. Easy

excellent fan! This fan allows me to enjoy an occasional cigar inside during the long Winter and pretty much sucks all smoke out of the house and room.

Lots of people are complaining about noise here... I don't get it. I've had it a month and it sounds like a fan. Some of the new tower fines are more silent but if you've grown up with fans you know what a typical fan sounds like. And this fan is no different.I bought it because of the legs option. My exterior walls are floor to ceiling windows with a single small slider window in the middle that's around 30" wide and 16" tall. I figured I could use a table in front of the slider window if I couldn't get it to fit. It fit perfectly.Although I have central air conditioning, I really like fresh air and with the ability to set one or both to push air outward or inward it has been terrific. With all the wildfire smoke this year I have been using it 24hrs a day to clear the air out and bring none in. It's been awesome.

As the headline suggests, this is not a quiet fan. however, if you want a fan that does the job and don't mind that it needs to make a noise to do it, then this fan is for you. It works really well and the option to change the direction of the air is great. I have used this to bring cooler air in from outside and to move hot air out from inside. Overall, this is a good fan.

Got my fan today in preparation for summer and installed it into my window. The accordion wing 'tabs' that lock it are very difficult to open, I had to pry them to expand the wings to fit the window but it fits great. The second issue I noticed as I turned it on (low setting) was that it is extremely loud. I put it down to the 'turbo velocity' in the description?! I don't know, I'm not in any way an expert on what size motor runs what and the expected decibels would be. But I have purchased and used a lot of these types of fans in the past because I do not have air conditioning to rely on to stay cool during the hot summer months. I have tried Bionaire and Comfort Zone window fans, and they are quieter running on 'high' than this fan is running on 'low'. I chose this fan because of the price difference, this one was cheaper by about 30-80$ than the others that I was looking at.On the good side...I have noticed that this fan pushes much more air than previous ones I've used. It is more powerful. I have a large living room and can feel that it is much cooler in here after 15 minutes of use on the low setting in exhaust mode. It works in all functions and the buttons seem sturdy as this one does not have a remote. The colour is a bright white which looks nice in the window and fits in place even with my screen still in; so no bugs. So if you need it in an area where you won't be sitting right beside it like me, I would recommend this purchase as it does as it is supposed to very efficiently.

Love this fan. Much better than other models on the market. It's quiet compared to others. It has reversible blades to suck out the heat during the day and just a touch of a switch it blows in cool air in the evening. Who needs an air conditioner when you have this. It runs at different speeds and even can be set at temperature needed then will turn off when the desired temperature is met. I tried others but this one out does others on the market. Well worth the price.
