I installed this in the wall of my kitchen to help change the air. The kitchen has no windows. This 12" fan is very quiet and definitely moves the air. I no longer have a dead zone in that room.

If you put it somewhere where you don't mind a ton of noise. It'll be okay, but it is definitely well into the 70s for decibels. Very loud I have a 500 cf. M fan. It is half loud. And I think moves just as much air or more.
