Our Grandson just turned 10 and we purchased them for his Birthday. He is an average size and they just fit. Older children may need a larger size. 5-10 years may be more realistic for boys, unless they are girls or smaller on size.

Disappointed with this one. The sizing says that it fits 5-12 year olds. The knee pads might fit a 3 year old. They are way too small for my 7 year old.
