This is exactly what I needed. Gets rid of unsightly mic stand in front of kick drum. Should have picked it up a long time ago. highly recommended.

This thing is terrible, and I say that as a big fan of Gibraltar hardware with tons of it around my kit. I agree with the reviews that say the clamp is backwards. It pinches the hoop at the edges. Biggest issue for me though is the gooseneck is extremely stiff and doesn't hold its shape. This results in very little ability to position the mic. Not sure what Gibraltar was thinking here.I think the only reason to buy this is if you are sure you will hardly have to bend it (which means you will have it hanging down) and even then you will wonder why they designed the clamp like they did and you will hear your wooden hoop crunch just a tiny bit when you tighten it.BTW, what ever happened to the Brett's Hang guy? Is this why he doesn't do videos anymore? Maybe he was a gooseneck whistle blower...

Will mount firm on any type type of rim...metal or wood...very sturdy...

Seems like such a great idea having one less stand on the floor. But, when I went to fit it on I found the flaw - the curve of the metal follows the "outside" arc of the hoop which makes the flex post holding the mic point away from the drum. So, in this situation the tightening screw is on the inside of the hoop. I can't imagine something this obvious was overlooked. Any one using it, but turned around, successfully?

Like others have said, the curve of the clamp is the wrong orientation. Also, the gooseneck really wants to go back to the straight position. My mic rested on my drumhead after it crept back.

The hoop clamp curve is on opposite direction and the flexible goose neck always goes back to it's straight position. It won't stay bended.

I bought this thinking it would be easier to pack away than an actual mic stand. If you are running a bass drum head with a center cut mic hole or no mic hole, this would be great. My mic hole is at 3 o'clock this mount is supposed to be bendable but ends up not staying there. I would mount and bend mine to hit the 3 o'clock hole, but it would never keep the shape it was bent into... it would always straighten out causing the mic to rub on the mic hole. I ended up giving mine away and went back to a mic stand.

La calidad del material es muy buena, y el agarre de la pinza es genial. Sin embargo el cuello articulado no soporta mucho peso, pues al colocar un Beta 52A se vence ligeramente. Es necesario colocarlo un poco desfazado para que al momento de soltarlo y con las vibraciones, quede en el lugar correcto. Con un P2 de AKG no tiene problemas. Sin duda es un buen accesorio para ahorrar espacio y peso en el estuche.

Pratique et rapide à installer, à positionner correctement car le col de signe est incurvé, tres bonne tenue et remplace un pied au sol ! Petit bémol la clé de fixation un peu disproportionné esthétiquement à peindre en noir pour plus de sobriété sur scène... Sinon à recommander ! Car plus de 100eur le même système chez DW.

It is a little too rigid.Makes positioning the kick mike in the sweet spot more difficult than expected.
