Received today in a small cardboard box with only small plastic saran ties. I was careful to unroll the 75' hose rather than trying to untangle the kinks, thereby delaying the first inevitable kinks.This hose lays in the sun unrolled as a normal Summer configuration. The hose feels like rubber latex, not slick vinyl. Therefore, unknown UV resistance. adapterThe female end is ineed a swivel end, compression fitting, although the swivel initially resisted turning. It may have been best to find a large Allen wrench to hold the fitting while tightening the compression ring, but instead I just held the fitting and tightened the compression ring by hand. Similarly, I held the fitting and rotated the female swivel end -- it loosened slightly as I turned it -- while threading it onto my spigot adapter (spring stiffened).The hose charged normally and sprayed strongly through my nozzle. Good initial performance.

I've used this hose to run a semi-permanent sprinkler system from my spigot. It gets baked in the sun all day and is pressurized all summer. Other hoses I attempted to use stretched and were nearly destroyed after a few days. This hose looks identical to the day I bought it.I have purchased three, with one running underground. It is unaffected by the water, temperature, or soil.You can cut the hose to size and re-attach the threaded ends that came with the hose.If you need a heavy-duty, durable, and high-quality hose for stationary applications, this is definitely it.I cannot speak to using it as a garden hose and dragging it around the yard to water. It is heavy and thick and may retain coils if it sits coiled up most of the time. If this is how you intend to use it, look for other reviews of customers who have used it as a standard garden hose.Good luck. I hope this works out for you.

I have one of the regular hoses, not the pocket hoses that expand when you turn them on (as I’ve had six or seven of them and continuously get holes in them during them useless). I finally broke down and bought 100 foot regular hose and put it on A hose caddy that spins and I can rewind with the handle. However, I needed something that would connect that hose to my outdoor faucet and this was the perfect size. I can now leave my outdoor spigot on and have water and every time I need it. there has been no leaks and the connections fit nice and tight on both sides. Highly recommend this product and in this length if you have a similar use. If it comes in a longer length, I would highly recommend it as well. Just get some thing to make your reeling of the hose much easier As this type of hose will get twisted and kinked. I however, have never had that problem.

These hoses held up well for a couple of years now. So they are durable. They are also light weight and quite flexible. That is all wonderful. However if you want to connect / disconnect them from each other or from the faucet they are a total pain. The female connectors do not swivel on the hose. You have to twist the hose in the opposite direction before screwing the connector onto the faucet because the connector will not turn independently of the hose.Also, the connectors are aluminum which tends to corrode. This makes them even more difficult to unscrew if they have been in place for a while.I have a half dozen Giraffe hoses. Now I use quick disconnects on all of them. This is OK, except that most of the quick disconnects leak to some extent which presents a problem of it's own.Find a good hose with a better connector.
