Used these for uprights for a vertical pole storage I made and they did the job just fine. Hasn't corroded or had any issues since purchase.

It’s gotten very difficult to find a variety of sizes of aluminum tube here in Hawaii. It’s nice to be able to get what is needed online.

For general prototyping, this stuff is great. Only you can answer if it will work for your project, but works great for mine. Disclaimer, this was free to me (Vine), but at $23.49 for a pair of 24" aluminum rods, I think it is a good value. For comparison, I purchased a pair of 1 inch tubs that were 11.8" long for $13.49.So here are the specifics. It is just under an inch at 0.9935, so acceptable to me. The wall thickness seems to be around 0.12 (same as the product description). The overall length is just shy of 24", closer to 23 15/16". packaged and shipped fine. It's not what I would call "finish ready", might require some light high grit sanding to give it a smoother finish.

Bought this tubing for future DIY projects on my hobby lathe and mill. There are two pieces of extruded 6061 tubing, each 24" long. It is reasonably round with variations in diameter about 0.002". Wall thickness is about 0.123" but varies a couple thousands from place to place. Outer diameter is about 0.991 but, again, varies a few thou from place to place. I checked one of the common sources for small amounts of raw materials and this tubing is about half the cost. So overall a good value
