Great tool, have a 2005 GMC 5.3 and had the dampner off in less than 5 minutes. Would highly recommend it.

if you need to take the balancer off of a gm 3.6 3.0 or chrysler 3.6 just to name a few, this tool is amazing and makes life sooo much easier! it takes a beating and hasnt broke or become deformed in any way... a must have tool for sure!

i liked the look of this design better than a 3 jaw puller but it didn’t fit my 2014 GMC Sierra w a 5.3

This harmonic balance puller is something I feel like every shop should have. It is so easy to use and I don’t know why we have not got one before now. It makes pulling the balancer so much easier. It is a good quality tool and is priced fairly.

There's a few reasons why this is one of the best LS crank pulley pullers I've used but the most important reason is because it fits and pulls crank pulleys in places where LS engines were not designed to live. My FC RX7 LS3 swapped track car has very little room between the radiator/radiator fan and the crank pulley and where all other pullers do not come close to being able to fit, this one fits perfectly without having to remove the radiator. Seems like this wouldn't be the biggest deal but removing my radiator becomes an entire job in itself.Other notable things I should mention, this puller is really well engineered and is made of quality materials. The front cylindrical bolt tip can be replaced if needed. Mine came with a few marks from manufacturing but makes little to no difference after a few times being used. Only thing I can think of that can be improved is using a higher strength bolt. This comes with a grade 8.8 bolt and I prefer using grade 12.9 bolts with tools as I can abuse and mar threads.

If you have a vibration damper on a Ford 5.4 3 valve, then you will probably need this every hundred thousand miles because you’re going to need to redo your timing every hundred thousand miles. OK, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but you’re gonna need it at least once. And definitely do it before your “change engine†light turns on…
