Had an HVAC tech out earlier this week to fix a problem with the ignitor, which he did for a good price. He then proceeded to tell me I will need a new exhaust fan/motor to the tune of "about $600 installed." Oddly enough, this part started making noise while he was still here, no noise before. I told him I had a good friend in the HVAC business for 20 years but didn't want to bother him, that's when he told me I could get the part MUCH cheaper on my own...interesting enough. I'm pretty handy so after some searching I came across this unit. After reading the reviews I ordered the part and was confident it was the correct part. What I received was an EXACT REPLICA of the old unit: part 0131M00002P, for a Goodman unit #GMS80603AN, serial #1210581638. I know some people may have received a similar, upgraded part, but what I received seems to be the exact same one. I installed it in about 30 minutes and it works perfectly, very quiet and no noise like the old one. Do this yourself and save hundreds of dollars...7 screws and two wires: black to black and white to white. As some others mentioned, I do not believe the fan will run counter-clockwise even if wired wrong, but you should have no issues with a self install and the fan should run clockwise, but definitely check this once installed. Bearings was going out in my inducer motor from my 5 year old Goodman furnace! Started last year only to keep getting louder and louder. So after examining the motor and housing, it looked relatively easy to change. I wrote down the model number and the actual part number that was on a sticker attached to the housing which made it easy to find on Amazon. Ordered from North American HVAC and had it in 2 days. Installation was a breeze, there were 7 total sheet metal screws that were removed and a vacuum tube and then the black and white power leads. The assembly came with a new fiberglass gasket and the change was made within 20-30 minutes. Make sure you turn off the power and gas to the furnace before taking the access cover off. It's a relatively easy job just take your time and then save yourself hundreds of dollars you would pay a HVAC service to complete! The new inducer is so quiet compared to the old one, it is possible that maybe the old motor Bearings could have been oiled but certainly don't take that chance. For the $105 spent was well worth it and changing it yourself gives you a sense of knowledge that yes you can do it! Overall the assembly was the exact same and it runs smoothly.

My inducer motor fan started screeching for a day before it jammed solid and refused to switch on any more. The furnace company diagnosed the faulty part correctly, a draft inducer motor whose bearings had seized up, but wanted $700 plus, to replace the motor. After a little research and helpful Amazon reviewers, I decided DIY was the way to go. This model was a compatible (was actually almost exact) replacement for the part in my furnace. I say almost because the part number is slightly different compared to my original motor's part number, because my original furnace is 10 years old now, and these replacement parts are probably an improved version. Anyway, another user's review here helped me match up my previous part number with this model and sure enough it fit perfectly and I was good to go within the hour.

I received this product a few days early than expected which was great. It was easy to install due to it being the exact same part that was being replaced. It was getting cold so making this purchase was simple and easy and not having to hire an hvac was a plus due to changing out 6 screws would have cost me a fortune.

A lot of reviewers suggest the product description is misleading and that they got a different item. What most do not realize is that the 0131M00002PSP replaces outdated part numbers 0131M00002S, 0131M00002PS, B4059003, B4059003S, and B405900. In other words, what is in the picture is what you have but is now outdated and has been replaced with a better motor. The HVAC Technician that came to check mine claimed I needed to give him $700 just to get the part. This did not include labor cost. I called Goodman and they confirmed that the 2PSP replaces the 2S. There are a couple videos showing how to remove the old one and replace with a new one. There are essentially 5 screws holding this thing that needs to be removed! My heater works much better and it is so quieter! I am sure it is because the motor on this one is better than the one on the old.

After unsuccessfully searching the local heating equipment suppliers for a replacement draft inducer, we finally found this draft inducer on Amazon would fit our Goodman gas heat exchanger. We’ve been running on this Goodman draft inducer for the whole winter now without any issues. Delivery was on time, packaging was good and at a great price. It was easy to replace the old inducer, fit right in place of the old one. Make sure to clean the dirty furnace sensor while you have the system down.

Apparently, my old one has been on the fritz for like a year before it finally kicked the bucket. The new one is so much quieter - we actually had to check to make sure that the furnace was actually working after we installed it.For my furnace, the installation was very quick and easy - like 7 screws. Wear gloves when installing it, I didn't, and I got fiberglass from the gasket in my hands, which is unpleasant. Honestly, a mask probably wouldn't be a bad idea, either.The old unit had tabs that the wires went onto. The new unit had wires to connect. I was kind of concerned about this - don't be, they connected just fine.

My old motor seized, and after installing this one it was whisper quiet, and worked better than the origional, this was an upgrade. it also arrived faster than expected which was a huge plus during this cold winter.
