Good value for the money. The paper feels adequately sturdy and heavy for oil pastel. I bought it because I'm just learning oil pastel and so far the paper is performing nicely. One could also use this paper for other media like acrylic paint, stamping, gel plate printing, really the possibilities are endless.

definitely makes colors appear brighter but honestly you can probably use a sketch book and get the same results

UPDATEI wanted to test out the Soho soft oil pastels on this paper. All I can say is WOW. With the super soft pastels, this paper shines! I love this and will buy more for my soft oil pastels.I have included a photo of my recent work. My good camera system has to be fixed, so this is not as good as I would like, but until I fix it, this will have to do.â€-------------ORIGINAL REVIEWWhen I first ordered this, for some reason, all I saw was the 9 and not the 5 in front of it. This is a small pad.QUALITYThe paper is really nice for using oil pastels. It won't waste product as the pages are small, but you have to do small paintings/drawings.EASE OF USEThis is easy to use. I like how the oil pastels look on it so far. I have only messed around with it- no full scale artwork worth posting yet. The colors go on nice and pigmented.THE BOTTOM LINEThis small palette is an ideal way to practice using oil pastels on a small scale.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. Although this is small, I appreciate not having to work a long time on a larger page. This is great for smaller practice paintings and I like it. I would buy again so far.

This is nice, thick paper for oil pastels, chalk pastels, and other mediums. I like the size of these for traveling or just to make me work in a smaller space. Came just as pictured and described. Well made and good quality paper.

Since this is not a pad of paper with card board backing. A clip board must be used and the rest of the stack of paper stored. The paper does seem sturdy enough for oil pastels. Not easy to use!

This is a nice drawing pad especially for oil pastels! I love how smoothly they glide across this paper. It's a good weight and a nice size for something to throw in a backpack to take along on hikes, etc.

The quality of the paper is good for pastels, but this is not a pad. It is loose sheets of paper.
