27 waist and 36 lower hips. This worked well for me, but as the other reviews say, it is very narrow.My skirt is very light and thin so I paired it with a two ring petticoat and adjusted the rings smaller and that helps to smooth everything out. I wear it on top of this. I do wish I would have gotten a 3 or 4 ring petticoat since they're about the same price on here and that would have made the look seamless, but it's definitely good enough and I have an easier time folding the 2 hoop for travel.

I am SO GLAD I purchased this period-style short length bustle. It made all of the work I put into my period authentic gown truly shine!!! Incredible quality and price!! It would have taken me a full day and a lot more money to construct one myself, and I am down to the last few days until I need my gown completed, so this purchase has saved me a lot of time as well! I did press mine with the iron when I first took it out of the package so it would lay nicely. The only thing I would like to mention is that I feel like this is sized for a person anywhere from a size 0-12. I am not sure if it would work on an extended size person. I personally and am size 4 and couldn’t be happier with the fit!!

I have to agree with other reviewers that the bustle is quite narrow. If you have wide hips you might want to find something wider than this. That being said, when it’s covered I can’t really tell what the shape of it is.. it does give a pretty dramatic effect! Larger than what I was expecting, maybe a bit comical but I like it. The material feels nice and sturdy, and it’s pretty compact for traveling since it collapses on itself

This was the most narrow tiny bustle I have ever seen. It's not even a foot wide and it collapsed under the weight of just my petty coat, much less the skirts. If you are looking for a bustle for a small gradeschool child this would work, but not for an adult.

This is decently made, but the bustle part is VERY narrow. I tried altering it to wide the bustle, but it just didn't work for my size 12 body.

You absolutely need support garments for this to be comfortable (e.g. corset and petticoat). I wore it for Victorian cosplay and will definitely be using it again.

The petticoat fit well for my size and height. I could see how someone with a larger frame or hips may not like the proportions.It gave the correct shape for my bustle-era dress. Adjustable bustle size, holds up just fine to the weight of fabric. I think it's a good value for the price considering making one for myself wouldn't cost much less.For wearing: adjust the top and bottom ties, these go behind your bottom and legs, then tie waist ties around the waist. I recommend wearing with a corset because the weight of the petticoat and skirts would be quite uncomfortable without one.
