Was a very easy install on 2008 F150. Just pull out the old bulbs and push in the connectors to the bulb socket. It *does* take some effort, and I broke the edges of one socket because it had heat damage from the old incandescent bulbs. However, it still seated snugly and I wrapped it with automotive tape just to be sure. The supplied gasket, tho. WAY too thick. It's about a half inch thick and makes it sit a lot higher than the original gasket. I ordered a thinner gasket (0.2 inches vs 0.55 inch supplied), and it should be here today. I'll update if it doesn't fit well. All in all, a very very nice product.

Worked perfectly. Wish I had done this replacement sooner. With my 2006 Ford F150, it was a little bit of a bear to replace the wire harness, just because I didn’t have a pair of extra long needlenose pliers, but I did eventually get the job done. Pretty straightforward installation. Seems to be good quality and works just fine. Great price. AutoZone was trying to charge me about $90 for the same part.

This third brake light/bed light is much brighter than factory and installation took maybe 10 minutes since my factory light was smashed. 10/10 product

This is not a plug n play setup. I had to help my dad wire these into his existing wiring harness. The pigtail on the new light is completely different and so are the bulb housings. The new light comes with 3 wires. His 2005 F150 has 5 wires and the harness is up under the roof of the truck. Could not pull it out. It would not have connected anyway. We spliced it in with wire nuts and it all lit up. Also, the gasket is WAY TOO THICK that came with it. The light sticks up too high.

Needed a new light. Other just aged and finally broke during a car wash. NO RE-WIRING needed. Once the old one is removed, look inside and to the upper right. You’ll see two small white plastic tabs. These need to be cut or pushed through to the other side. Once this is done, you’ll be able to pull out enough of the harness to pinch and detach. Plug the new one in after installing the seal that comes with the light, use the same OEM screws and you’re good to go. Hardest and longest part was getting the two white tabs through. That’s it. I hope this helps someone.
