Easy to Install:
1. Take the screws out and gently remove the old light. Clean the gasket area.(Alcohol could help clean the area better.)
2. Plug in and make sure to tuck the whole hardware in.
3. Screw it back in the place. Please don't tighten it down all the way yet in the beginning, or the case would be cracked. Put the two screws in and then tighten it down.
Note: A flathead screwdriver will be needed for the installation.

Some reviewers have problems with installation but may be a different model. Mine is for a 2005 F150 and it was truly plug and play. The 3 pigtails have an end fitting like the base of a bulb. You simply pull out the 3 bulbs from the harness for the old light and plug in the new pigtails. Easy to install, looks good and is bright. Over all a good experience.

I purchased this to replace the backup light on my daughter’s car, and it works perfectly. It was also more affordable than ordering it from our local franchise car parts store. Very satisfied with the purchase!

I have attached photos to show the gap that will easily allow water to channel down the back side of the light. I moved the rubber housing as far to the back of the light as possible, and this is still the gap that is showing, roughly 1/2". You can see the OEM light and rubber housing sit firmly and snugly up against the body. It's possible this light works on other model vehicles other than the 2004 Chevy Tahoe, but that does not help me. No amount of fidgeting would get this light to fill the space the OEM light filled, and allow the unit to fit snug against the body.

It fit my 2000 tundra completely flush as the OEM did (but I am not willing to spend 200 bucks on a used OEM unit found on EBay). However, it did not come with a gasket as explained in the description so I used 1/4†weatherstrip foam to seal it up and keep the rain out of my roof. Also, after 8 months, two of the brake LED lights quit working. It’s from China so go figure. At least it’s cheap. The more expensive one with the lines for lights absolutely did not fit so after trying two of those I’m back to using this one and guess I’ll be replacing it at least once a year. I should buy two in order to keep a backup on hand.

It Looks Great and works just as good but even though i got the one for the 1994 s10 it was slightly too small. so there was a clear gap into the inside of the truck where water could easily pour in from the sides
