These inch and a quarter dry wall screws by Grip Right, are good screws, as dry wall screws go. They are all about the same. I needed some of these shorter ones to fasten things to the wall. They work good as picture hangers and the like. All I had on hand was some 2-1/2 inch ones which are much too long for the sort of thing that I was doing. So I found this 1 pound box on Amazon, and found it to be expensive. I am used to buying them by the pound, and getting twice as many for the same price, Grip Right is proud of their boxes is all that I can say. But, when you need them, you need them, and it took only a couple of days to get them in my hands.

PH2 driver bit and screw head mate solidly. These bits can be driven into old fir resistance without shearing off. Good product.
