These trays are perfect, they are very well made, thick, very rigid, and strong. I purchased a different brand last year that claimed they were strong, and rigid, and they were not. I was pleasantly shocked how good these are.

Before buying 1020 trays a person needs to understand what else they're buying to go along with these trays. There isn't really standards for these types of trays so you can buy inserts such as cell trays and then find out they don't match the 1020 tray you bought. These are a shallow tray which is good for SOME of the 72 and 128 cell trays, but not the deep ones. I've mostly bought deep 72 cell trays and they don't match these. One way to solve most the problems other than looking at dimensions for everything is stick with one company or another. I like the longevity and strength of another company's line so I mostly use their products. I also like the fact that their cell trays are deep as that gives roots more area to move into before transplanting. Depending on how you like to transplant and the type of seed you're growing that may be good for you, maybe not.The main point is there's no magic bullet when it comes to these types of trays, however there are the more expensive ones from one company that are rated to last years, while some of these trays will start to deteriorate over a few seasons and then the recommendation is to get rid of them because you get more microplastics into your seedlings by continuing to use ones that deteriorate quicker. This is a type of plastic that's going to start breaking down. You will need to replace these after a few years. The company doesn't say that when I read the product information, but considering this is basically the same type of plastic as ones that do I have to think these do too.To recap, if you want deep cells then these aren't the right trays. Make sure you match cell trays to flat trays so you don't waste money. Next, if you want more than 8 - 10 years out of your trays there's only one company that uses a type of plastic that will last longer than that and it's not Rootrimmer. They're also stronger and stiffer, and cost more. These trays are not a one time investment but they'll last close to a decade, maybe a little longer if you don't use them outside. If they're always outside you probably don't get a decade out of them.

The trays are robust, I could carry them around fully loaded, and they'd hold. Whatever the type of containers which I put in these trays, I could always find a way to position them well. They served me for one season, both inside and outside, and they still look great. The form helps distribute the water evenly along the tray, longitudinally.

Ces plateaux sont vraiment très robustes et parfait pour mes plateaux moins haut. Je les utilise avec des plateaux multicellules de 200.

I love that these will last years to come for starting plants indoors. They’re sturdy and not flimsy at all.
