made for a lot less trenching. verry simple to install. Did not use the antenna due to the gate opener had a built in antenna. just had to program the detector in to the opener.

This works great, but the instructions we got were outdated for the control panel we have. The pairing instructions are for control panels that are older. One I called, and they said that all you have to do is hit the pairing button in the control box, it was a breeze. It has been flawless. I think I'm going to move it closer to the 100-foot limit, I have it at about 50 now.

Works intermittently if at all. Called Mighty Mule tech support several times, waiting on hold for up to 45 min. I was told never to call on a Monday. Seriously? Anyhow, they had me place the wand in many different positions, tedious process as they asked me to call them back if I need further assistance. I just don't have them time to be on hold forever. In a nut shell, its a great product if it works, however my experience was less then desired, very spotty device and I just can't have UPS , Amazon drivers be stuck behind the gate. Don't waist your time or money on this!

After call to mighty mule, an hour or so ( not counting time to replace items) and having a sharp repair person to do the electrical, this replacement works well.

Even with three calls to product support I could not get it to work consistentlyLast call said it likely was defectiveI will have a try at warranty now since I waited to long to return itHappy to report, The product support folks were responsive trying to get it to work initially, and they were equally good to deal with getting a replacement. So, kudos for trying. Will report if the new one is any better than the last one.So, now we have tried again with the new one, same results. I even had the engineering student next door (who is techy) tied and failed to get it operational.Sending it back, wasted time

Installation was easy. However the sensitivity to control the gate is out to lunch.After initial set up everything worked fine for about a week. Then my gate wouldn’t open when I drove close to the sensitivity bar. So I adjusted the sensitivity dial in small increments until I got it working again.Later that day I noticed that the gate would open and close all by itself with nobody or anything was close to the sensitivity bar. So I adjusted the sensitivity dial once again in small increments going back towards the less sensitive position. Finally got the gate to stop operating all by itself.Later I went to leave the property and the gate wouldn’t open again. At this point I replaced the batteries thinking this would fix the problem but it did not.I would recommend purchasing a different brand.
