Only lasted a few starts. Sucks because a oem Honda one is over 100$. Might just get something generic and make some small modifications to make it work.

I had a defective solenoid (another amazon product purchased 2 years ago) on my Honda 3013 Riding Mower, and chose to order this one as a replacement. Due to the location of the starter, I had to remove the flywheel to access the starter/solenoid unit. Once removed, the new solenoid installed fairly easily. As others have noted, the signal wire terminal is reversed from my original, which makes for a tight connection. I chose to add an additional wire from that terminal to the original connector; both to give me some installation room, and to allow me to test the solenoid which still installed (something I could not do this time.Good news! The starter engaged and the engine cranked on the first attempt. After confirming that everything else was in order, I reconnected the spark cable, and the engine started fairly quickly.So, I am quite pleased so far! I am hopeful that this replacement solenoid will be longer-lasting than the previous one. It does appear to have a bit better construction, but time will tell.
