Works very well, my pepper plants germinated in less than 5 days using this mat. Peppers can take 10-25 days so I’d say these helped! I observed above average germination rate as well, may be seeds. Just be sure to remove seedlings from mat when you see quite a few seeds sprout. And maintain moisture and you’ll be very happy! For safety I used on a mesh rack and monitored closely, no problems observed and I plan to use these for years. I put on the same timer for my lights. Good value for the price.

This product is pretty good. It makes me a bit nervous cause of the warnings on it not to leave it unattended. I am not planning on watching seeds grow at attention. So to be able to leave it would be nice. I am thinking it is fine. I had it plugged in for a few days and had no trouble with it. Doesn't get extremely hot which is good but I wouldn't leave this on for long without unplugging it to let the cord cool down. Does what it should do but worries me about being a fire hazard. I guess any product like this would do the same but the warnings scared me a little bit.

This heat mat is pretty good for the price your definitely getting a very good product but i noticed that it gets very warm without the use of a thermostat. The heat mat gets to 160°F and it almost melted my plastic seed tray which i expected to not happen as many people use these heat mats with trays directly!! I had to elevate my seed tray on a metal wire mesh about 2 inches above the heat mat and its a comfortable temperature for my seedlings!! The heat mat also keeps it at a steady temperature so no fluctuating which is great. In conclusion its good for the money but it does get really hot if not using a thermostat or used correctly!!

We use these in our cabinet style greenhouse. It kept our overwinter plants quite nicely & the combined wattage (40 x 2 devices) was just right to keep the environment above freezing. To the touch when operating the pads are just warm - perfect for seed germination. They are watertight and appear to be quite abrasive proof so are good for sliding containers without worry of damage.

The seed mat is huge! I'm so thankful because seeds is not at all what I'm using it for. I actually have it up under two terrariums for reptiles habitats. It does quite an efficient job at keeping that end of the tank at around 65 to 70°. I do wish that there was a temperature gauge to be able to control the heat but it works just fine without itIt heats evenly as both tanks are around the same temperature.And I love that this was a dual pack, especially for the price usually don't find that especially when they're such high quality mats.

I bought this to keep my kombucha fermentation at a steady temperature during the winter. I keep my home thermostat at 21.5C during the day and 19.5C for 12 hours overnight. It keeps my brew around 25C for consistent results.
