I go back and forth about this tool. I tried three different brands of foil (Edco, 3M, and studio pro 7/32) and all seemed to be compatible. The first time I tried to load it, it did not work out so well. After a couple of tries it seemed to go smoother each time. It does not come with instructions, so you will want to print off the instructions from the listing photo. It does keep the foil straight, and does help apply the foil to the glass, but the backing occasionally gets pulled through to the foil side and you will need to tug it just right to get it back into the right place.
