Received this item to be used on a 1990’s TV that came from my grand parents. Obviously back then you had RCA Connections and Screw on Coxial connectors. Just for sniggles and giggles wanted to see if our DVD player would work. It in fact did work. There were no instructions in the packet, however simple to connect . The HDMI cord to my dvd player, and the Red, White, and Yellow to the TV. The adapter does have to be powered by USB, I plugged into the power strip that already has the USB connections, or I’m sure you could use the charging block from a phone or another item to plus the USB cord into. It was essentially a plug and play, and started working as soon as we turned on the DVD. I don’t know how many people might still have a need for this, but Highly Recommend if you need this type of application.

Since most streaming devices are now HDMI only there isn't an option to connect to your old TV or VCR. That is, unless you use a convertor such as this device. This converter will take the HDMI output and convert it to FCA output to connect to your "legacy" device. No, thi will not convert in the other direction. This is a good choice for that old TV in the garage that you want to watch.

A convenient way to connect modern devices like Fire TV Sticks or Game consoles to old school CRT TVs. I tested it with my Nintendo Switch and my old 3rd generation Fire TV streaming device. I really like that it has a USB C port for convenience, most of these HDMI -> Composite adapters have mini or micro USB for power and those cables are more rare. An HDMI cable is also included, which is appreciated. I didn’t notice any noticeable lag when playing my Nintendo Switch on my Sony Trinitron. Keep in mind that if you want an adapter for the purpose of connecting old consoles up to a modern TV, this adapter won’t work for that purpose. It’s meant for the opposite purpose- plugging HDMI devices up to a retro TV/Projector that can receive Composite video.

This HDMI to RCA converter works well for bringing new devices to older TVs. Setup is simple—just plug in the HDMI source, connect the RCA cables, and select PAL or NTSC as needed. The picture quality is decent for standard-definition output, and the added 3.5mm audio port is a useful bonus for headphones or external speakers. It’s compact and lightweight, making it easy to store or transport. While it won’t upscale HD content, it does the job for converting digital signals to analog without noticeable lag. A great budget-friendly adapter for older AV setups!

I picked up this adapter, so I could run a couple of my older raspberry pis with hdmi capability, and just get out the audio, since I have no interest in the video for this purpose. This adapter works perfectly for that, and the pi works just fine.

This adapter was perfect for my roku tv that stubbornly did not give hdmi signal. I had this issue with multiple devices until using this adapter. The devices fits snuggly with the cable and provide a clear signal. The cords are thick and flexible making them easy to install and attach securely to the tv.

This is a very good HDMI to RCA converter. It's plug-n-play. Note that it only converts in one direction: HDMI Signal from sources to RCA on old TV, etc. Kudos to the seller, manufacturer, and Amazon for presenting all the information you need very clearly on the product page. Read carefully before you purchase to make sure that this will work for you. Kudos to them also for selling a very good product at a fair price ~$13. I will update this review if needed based on further experience.
