My RESI hardware is SDI input. I made the mistake of buying the recommended ATEM WITH SDI ports. I had had to have an adapter for literally every other port. Should have gotten hdmi ATEM.

I bought this with my own money. I don't do a lot of reviews. This model is just as good as the brand that has a similar design and look. It outputs 3G SDI in a small footprint. I used the usb cable and plugged it into an unused usb port on the back of a piece of equipment.I'm using this with a Sony A250 OLED monitor and a Tektronix measurement system. HDMI 1080p/60 video out of my late model macbook pro m3 128gb /8tb machine is stable, clean, and I'm confident of its output. You can get this at a lower cost of other brands. Don't get caught up in the name. I highly recommend you give this product a serious look.

This is a simple and inexpensive HDMI to SDI converter, no real special features, takes in HDMI at 1080p or lower and outputs it to two SDI ports. Convenient because one port can go to a monitor while the other goes to your SDI video switcher. I mainly use this to take HDMI output from one of my cameras and convert it to SDI to send to a DeckLink card in my PC. Should work fine in any broadcast setup.Note that there is NO 4k support on this device.SDI is nice because the cables have locking connectors and can send video a longer distance than HDMI.You should also be able to use this box to take the HDMI output of a game console, laptop or PC and send it into a broadcast SDI setup, but I haven't tested this. It probably also will not work with encrypted/copy-protected HDMI signals. So far no issues or compatibility problems and video quality is good.

I bought 10 of these to test out in our facility. The colors were wrong - looked out of phase - and there was noise and artifacts in the image. I tested on some satellite receivers and Bright Sign media players. These converters didn't work with either one. Guess I'll have to stick to the more expensive Black Magic converters which work fine on these same devices. These are trash!

This device is a knockoff of a namebrand BMD. It has limited number of input options it can convert. I wanted to convert a laptop signal to SDI for a live event but this wasn't compatible with the laptop's aspect ratio/frame rate so it didn't work.If you have a "normal" aspect ratio/frame rate, like that from a camera, it does work as expected.

Got this as a backup to a similar blackmagic unit. It seems to work essentially identically. I do need to do a better head to head test and A/B it against the name brand unit to see if there is any qualitative difference but to my end it is identical as of now. Great!

I work for a local Government Access TV channel. We can't copyright any of our content. Therefore I should be able to send video wherever I need to. I use Adobe Premiere for editing. I feed the output to our broadcast server. The KUMO router we use can't see the output. I can't tell what format video this box spits out. The converter will feed an SDI monitor. The video signal will not loop out of that monitor. I plugged the feed into my Tektronix WFM 5200, it can't see the video & gives errors.
