I have mixed feelings about this clip. The Leatherman brand clip was very stiff. It snapped trying to get it off the multitool. When using the clip it felt very secure.This one has flex in it which has survived being taken on and off the multitool many times. However the clip feels loose on the pocket. I feel as if it could work its way off and drop my multitool. It hasn't so far, but we'll see. I can't knock it until it happens.This is much more affordable than the Leatherman brand clip.

There are better products available, definitely look elsewhere. As others mentioned it doesn’t fit unless you feel like filing it down. It is also too thick and makes me wonder if you’re ruining your slot by using this product long term, would give it zero stars if I could.

the fitment on this product is alittle tight but the clip holds a strong in the tool and on the pocket i guess we will see how it holds up when it gets snagged on something thanks guys for an affordable product

Hate the leatherman pouch? Me too. I like to carry the surge (best multi tool ever made) on my belt. It is the only large leatherman tool. No other clip will fit the surge. But this one does. And it rocks.

The fitment is incorrect, luckily for anyone that has one of these tools already has the solution. I used the diamond file in my Leatherman to file the opening about 1 mm further down, and now it locks and all tools open and lock as well. It would be nice if the clip fit out of the box but it was an easier fix than returning.

The Leatherman branded clip broke the first time I got hung up on a railing. It was very brittle. This one bends, but I can bend it back and keep using it.

If you want to make it work youl need an angle grinder or a dremel to widen the slit on the side to make it work. Otherwise it wont stay in aswell as it also hold the unlock open
