Your cart is empty. Labvida heavy duty beakers are designed for heating by hot plate, flame, oven, microwave or heating mantles.
Labvida heavy duty beakers can withstand repeated standard autoclave cycles of 121°C at 15 psi for 5 minutes.
In normal service Labvida heavy duty beakers can be heated many times to 230°C. It even can be heated to 490°C in extreme service one time.
About low temperature, Labvida heavy duty beakers can be cooled to -230°C.
DO NOT plunge product directly into a liquid coolant. It should be placed in the vapor phase of the liquified gasses for slow cooling prior to immersion in the coolant.
Tips:
We recommend that when the liquid is heated in the beaker, it should not exceed 2/3 of the volume of the beaker.
When heating corrosive liquids, in order to avoid the liquid splashing on skin, we recommend using watch glass lids.
In order to prevent the beaker from being cracked during stirring, the glass rod must not touch bottom or wall of the beaker when dissolving substance with a glass rod.

Thick glass. Very nice quality. Functional for mixing small amounts of oils, etc. Wish they had ounce markings. Packaged very well. Easy to pour from.

Was somewhat impressed with the quality. Not worried about breaking them, and I use them quite a bit. They clean easily and withstand heat.

The beakers appear to be high quality. As another reviewer pointed out, it is difficult to vouch for the quality of the glass, but I feel it is safe to assume it is high quality. The markings on the glassware is consistent and easy to read. If I was only rating the glassware itself it would be getting 5 stars; however, my first shipment arrived with a crack in the side-wall (see pic).Each beaker is wrapped in cling-wrap, then packaged in a form-fitted cardboard wrapper, then two of these are shrink-wrapped together for shipping. In my case this was placed in a slightly larger cardboard box (with no additional padding) and shipped. My first order arrived with a crack in one of the sidewalls (picture attached). The packaging included a note to contact Labvida directly with any issues, so I emailed them. They responded promptly that I could send them the amazon order number and they would refund me. Instead I opted to handle the return through amazon - which went smoothly as always. The replacements I received were packed exactly as the first set (not surprising) and one of those also contains some form of defect in the sidewall (the more blurry picture). I honestly cannot tell whether this is also a crack, or just a scratch in the glass - either way it likely makes this beaker unsuitable for use where heat is required.So, while I think the product itself is probably decent quality I feel like the packaging and shipping is leading to these defects. Of course, your mileage may vary and Labvida does seem willing to make right on any damaged pieces.

Yes I know this is a very bad rule to break and I understand why ect... however if they cant figure out were not in a lab and these are new then well maybe they can ask there clients over the speaker ''Would you like to supersize your order?"These beakers are heavy walled and the boxes were not gently treated before opening. Every single beaker was perfect.
