I was left impressed by this trimmer. It cut cleanly through a variety of hard and soft wood shrubs and decorative plants around the house up to ½" thick. I do think this is geared more towards furry fern like plants with thinner branches as the teeth don’t give you much more than ½" thick cutting capacity. Overall a decently powerful and acceptable quality trimmer.I consider this more useful for light duty shaping of hedges and plants than heavy duty annual trimming back or pruning. Assembly was minimal. My wife appreciates how light this is when used with my smaller battery packs. What this lacks compared to my 40 volt ryobi cordless trimmer that costs much more is the ability to cut through branches up to 1" thick, and a blade that can be rotated, making it more comfortable to hold when working on vertical shrub faces. However, what you gain is something that weighs less, costs less, and my wife doesn’t hesitate to use.

This comes sharp and pre-oiled, ready to go out of the box with 5mins to install the handles. It fits my Milwaukee batteries perfectlyI used it to trim my hedges, a few bushes, and a tree. It ran for about 1 hour and trimmed efficiently and quickly. If the blade hit too large of a branch it would stop until the branch was removed and then it continued cuttingWith a roll of electrical tape wrapped around the handle, this is perfect (as pictured). It has dual tiggers that are annoying to hold down both handles during use. I taped the front handle and this is wonderful

I was surprised at how powerful this is. The cutting wand is a good length. There is some assembly required, but the instructions for that, are limited and in the very back of instruction manual. The instruction manual is fairly extensive, but mostly safety and safe operation. It comes with a Philips head screw driver for assembly but it's really soft metal, so if you have a good quality screw driver use that instead. But it cuts and it cuts good
