Rope is as advertised. No over powering smell. This rope does stretch a bit so please consider this fact for your application. Would recommend and purchase again.

Great for tug of war, as well as rope climbing. You can cut it and it comes with directions on how to do that while avoiding the fraying that happens to ropes that you cut. This is easy to hold, comfortable, but very sturdy and solid. hands don't slip on it and yet it doesn't cut or dig into your palms either.Wonderful, high quality rope!

like other customers say it does have a smell to it like baler twine. But depending on what your using it for just leave it outside a while. I am using it for rope scrape and deer haven't seemed to care. Came as described. Good quality.

I liked it, but you can't have more than about 10 people use it for a tug of war, 5 each side. It is strong enough for that.
