T hi s is really solid and feels heavy duty. It is wider than the old cheaply built versions. It feels more stable and doesn’t tick or fall over while in use. Good product.

This stand is very sturdy and well put together as Hercules products are known for. I'm glad I kicked in a couple of extra bucks for this stand. This thing is super sturdy and the rubber foot pad really grips and doesn't allow any slippage. It also has 5 positions not counting the floor level position. The foot pads that contact the floor surface stays in place as well. Excellent product.

Great, solid thing for any guitar player to have, very reasonably priced.

This is a very sturdy, well-built classical guitar footrest with an extra wide, non skid surface area. While the footrest is adjustable for height, it is always set at an angle, meaning your foot will rest on it either toes higher than heel (sloping towards you), or should you turn it around, heel higher than toes (sloping away from you). There is no position in which you can rest your foot in a horizontal position (i.e., parallel to the floor). As this is the position I have used for over 40 years, I was a bit disappointed. My old footrest had a metal flange which one could engage to get an angle, or disengage to have it flat. No such feature here. But as most footrests these days are angle only, and most are much flimsier than the Hercules, there was hardly any point to returning this. I simply cut a piece of 2x4 in my workshop, chiseled out notches in which the footrest's feet would nestle and secure, then put rubber feet on the bottom of the block of wood. I put this under the rear two feet of the footrest so now, in the elevation that is comfortable for me, the footrest is perfectly flat, and with any weight at all on it, the footrest and elevating block are as one piece. So, I knock off a star since I had to do this and now must carry an extra piece of wood in my gig bag. But if you are a player who likes an angled footrest, then consider this a five star review.

This is a nice sturdy footrest with several adjustments for height. The lowest setting was good for my Dad to use, sitting on a Yamaha keyboard bench as a seat. I was pleased with this, as Dad is pretty tall, and he's been hunching while playing his guitar. That was partly due to the music being too low, but quite a bit of it was that he was tilting his foot to raise his guitar, not only was that not enough height, but it was hurting his back. This folds to a nice compact size but is also small enough to leave set at the correct height so it doesn't have to be adjusted each time. Very happy with this footrest.

I bought one of these about 2.5 years ago and am back for another for a different location. I tend to put a lot of weight into my left leg and just about every lesser quality foot rest starts twisting and I just don't feel stable. I've broken several weld joints on metal rests, and twisted wood ones apart. The Hercules I bought a couple years ago is still going strong after hundreds of hours of use. Easily the longest lasting rest I've used. Some people will have complaints about the angle when set at the 2 highest positions (of 5). I'm always in the first or second position and this does not affect me in the least. At number 5 I can understand the complaints, though I'd also wonder what a player's form looks like if they feel the need to go up that high. To each their own though.
