I have a totally different dog! My 8 month old medium sized dog is very strong for her size and is a TERRIBLE puller on our walks. Not to mention that when she sees another dog in the neighborhood, she gets really worked up and is very leash reactive (not aggressive, just frustrated she can't run over and play). This collar has stopped BOTH of these annoying, embarrassing, and potentially dangerous behaviors. She no longer pulls and instead walks beside me calmly; if we come across a dog, she still gets a bit antsy, but no longer goes completely insane as a quick, gentle "pop" communicates to her that she needs to chill. It is humane and does not hurt her AT ALL. From what I've found, if she does sound uncomfortable, it's only because she's frustrated with the fact that she no longer has control during our walks.For more info on how to use the collar, **please visit this YouTube tutorial**, Jeff Gellman seriously knows his stuff: It works! You will be shocked at the IMMEDIATE change in your dog; easy to secure and hook back together; does not tangle; sturdy with no signs of structural weaknessCONS: It may be a little tricky to hook up dogs with long/thick fur if you have to part lots of hair - but it's nothing a little practice can't fix (maybe it's just a sign that my dog needs a grooming!)TIPS: Rather than hooking/unhooking from the faceplate in the center, hook/unhook from one of the attachments on either side of the collar, closer to the back. It is generally easier to hook/unhook from the side, rather than the front as some dogs are stubborn and won't look up for you.**I researched this product thoroughly before purchase, but ultimately Solid K9 Training's Jeff Gellman helped me understand the importance, ease, and effectiveness of this collar and this particular brand.

. The other pinch collar has vanished. This replacement pinch collar is much better made and designed than other collars on the market. It WILL QUICKLY train a Head Strong dog (aka Min-Pin or Bullmastiff)) to behave while on a leash. However..., the owner must be very careful of the powerful nature of the pinch collar. The collar will give the owner AND dog a much more pleasurable walking experience, WHEN used properly. No more CONSTANT PULLING, LESS LIKELY to bolt off in persuit of other animals and over all manageability of your dog. Eventually you will be able to switch to a NORMAL COLLAR...., but that will take time, pacients and proper training. Do NOT ALLOW children the handle your dog with this collar ON..., unless of course the child has the proper training and skill level to do so with adult supervision. Make No Mistake this collar is a powerful tool for training only. Used improperly the collar can do more harm than good. I trained my Bullmastiff with a collar very similar to this one. Within a matter of a week of daily training and Voice Control..., I could easily take her for a walk on nothing more than a THREAD..., for a leash. At that point..., I had full Verbal Control over her (I wouldn't try that trick just ANYWHERE, I might add!-). She is prone to suddenly forgetting ALL training in a moment and do as she pleases (that can be a very bad situation, that I would NOT allow to happen, thus constantly exercising due diligence is a MUST). Regardless, this collar is the best of the best. You can certainly spend more on similar products, but why? This collar works quite well, is very well designed and sturdy enough for the most difficult breeds.

Number one dog training tool in our arsenal! We work with lots of foster dogs and problem dogs that have never had any training and often walk 3-4 dogs at once. I don't have much problem with it but my smaller wife would easily get dragged down the street by 80-100lbs German Shepherds using regular flat collars. DO NOT be fooled by similar products. This one is far better in almost every manufacturing detail. They are easier to get on and off, the tips are rounded, not sharp like other inferior collars and the mechanics of it are fluid and equalized to ensure there are no pressure points.For those that think these collars are cruel, try them on yourself, we do! They equalize the force so that no one area digs in, they are not painful! They do simulate the sensation of a dog nipping on the neck which is how dogs communicate with one another and this is why they are so effective. They communicate boundaries to dogs in ways that dogs easily understand and respect. There are some techniques to learn in order to use it correctly and generally they need to fit much tighter than the average person thinks. There are many videos online that teach you how to use these or you can consult with any balanced dog trainer out there that is familiar with them. 5 minutes of work with this collar will have almost all pulling dogs put in line, rather than days or weeks of dogs choking themselves and potentially damaging their trachea using a traditional flat collar or slip lead!

This collar is great training tool to teach my puppy how to walk properly. Research first about how to use it before you using it. It is very easy to put on and off. I use this collar for walks only. Don't keep them on when you are not walking the dog.I bought a second one for extra hook links. If you buy the extra hooks individually it is more expensive.

Excelente collar, lo mejor del mercado. Funciona tanto para entrenamiento como para pasear. Si tu perro se jalonea cuando pasean, el buen uso de este collar ayudará a corregir ese problema, no es mágico, hay que usarlo correctamente. Súper recomendado.

Good quality prong collar. I bought two to combine into a larger size for my 99lb Weimaraner. I only ended up needing 3 more links for her (about) 18 inch neck. It is the only way to stop her from pulling while on leash and she has never shown a dislike/ discomfort from wearing it.Seems to be the same as my previous prong collar which I know was a herm sprenger. I would recommend this one over other sellers on amazon.
