The product name is high high-accuracy thermometer but I think it is anything but. We tried testing it before we actually need it and found that it can easily be a few degrees off. When it comes to an emergency situation that is a lot.

My baby has never really taken to pacifiers. I once was using this to take my baby's temp and he fell asleep with it in his mouth in the time it took to get his temp. I also find it to work fine as a thermometer.
