Nicer quality and finish than expected. Used to mend top wood handle broke in two on wood-clad step stool by using large right angle brackets on the underside of the handle to strengthen the handle and align the pieces to wood glue back together. I drilled pilot holes since I have a tendency to strip all screws no matter what. I had anticipated needing more brackets to fix the ladder but the the quality of these brackets made using more than two unnecessary. Plenty left over for the next project. Why this review wanted a comment on “sheerness†eludes me. There is nothing sheer about them.

The brackets themselves are nice. They are nice and heavy and did a great job on my project. The problem I had was with the screws. The heads of 4 of them screwed themselves right off. I replaced them with screws I had and the job got done. I didn't buy the set because of the screws so it was only so much of a problem. BUT..if you're going to include them, they should be worth using.

Everything looks pretty, but the screws aren't that strong. Two screws were broken during installation.

when you screw them in the screw head breaks off and you cant get the remaining screw out

Very happy with this. I've used some of the parts for a sump pump alteration, which means the part are either underwater or under 100% humidity, and after a couple of months, no trace of rust. The parts are also very stiff and sturdy, seems to be made of high quality steel. Great purchase.
