They spent years plus countless versions ensuring that this 'tribute' would possess the soul of the original without being a copy. The KickAss features the following: Unique saddle design features pre notched inserts (no filing required). These inserts allow you to easily adjust your string spacing from a narrow .687" (17.5mm) to a wide .800" (20mm) and anywhere in between! Comes standard with brass saddle inserts which emphasize the fundamental tone and give your bass a mellow sound. Also included are two extra inserts for greater range of height adjustment. The KickAss mounts on a typical 5 hole bass configuration and features recessed string ball holes for a sleeker look. All mounting hardware included.

I’ve always resisted high mass bridges because I wanted to keep everything “vintageâ€. I ended up getting this bridge because I was switching to gold hardware on one of my basses. I couldn’t find a vintage style gold bridge that I liked. Since the rest of the hardware had already been swapped out, I admitted defeat and took a chance. Tone-wise, I really don’t hear a difference but as far as fine tune adjustments, there is nothing better than this bridge. Also, the smooth and streamlined fit and finish are second to none. No saddle screws or sharp edges digging into your hand. And I will admit, it looks very cool.

Excellent build, however, the screws are not gold or bras, but black. I used brass screws (same size), polished on a wheel and sprayed with clear coat. Still looks great.

This bridge is a great replacement! Direct fit on an old BC Rich platinum series, the mounting hole measurements are easily available to see if it will be a direct swap for you as well. Tons of adjustability available over stock!

Of the 5 bass guitars I own, 3 of them now have hipshot high mass bridges. You cannot go wrong with this bridge. It looks cool and offers a good sound. I am also happy with how easy it is to adjust the string length and saddle height without having to loosen the saddle like some aftermarket bridges.
