I had difficulty getting the camera's wifi working the first time. After I figured out the correct procedure it works easily. Procedure I use: power up the camera, wait for its wifi to power up, with you phone or tablet connect to the wifi using the phones wifi settings, once connection is established and stable then and only then open the app. Also the pro app does not work for me, the basic app does. Also the "Bullseye Target Manager" app from GSM works with this camera!

Bought in early 2022. App crashes 95% of the time on start up. If I reboot my Android slate, connect to SME Spot Shot WIFI and record a video...I get one recording before it crashes. I can repeat over and over, basically means reboot and wait minutes between shots and hope it works. When it does capture an image, resolution and refresh rate is pretty horrible. At 300-500 yds it's difficult to impossible to spot shots even when image is fairly clear and up close. Existing bullet holes appear and disappear in front of your eyes because of the horrible resolution and refresh rate. The only problem I don't have is that I can connect to the SME Spot Shot's WiFI without fail. But it's almost unusable. I would not recommend buying this product. But I hope SME fixes it...it has so much possible potential.Update (1/16/23): It never works now. Unusable. Software crashes on launch over and over. Vendor is unresponsive and is hasn't updated software in years.

This works. My Android phone connected to the wireless signal from the camera and the app worked immediately. I used it on a cheap 60X scope purchased at Walmart and the picture was plenty clear enough to use at the 100 yard distance. The eyepiece clamp easily adjusts and fits tight to the scope. Controls are easy. The app is pretty basic but it works. One note - you need a very stable tripod or mount for the spotting scope you are using.

I shoot 10M Precision Air Rifle in my basement. I wanted to make it easier for me when shooting 3P to see my shots. I have a Kowa spotting scope with a 20x eyepiece. My target is a 12 bull 10m target. When you look through the spotting scope with your eye you see the entire 12 bulls. The SpotShot cannot do so. I had to move it back to 12 meters to get half the target in view. I would have to move back to 15 meters to get the full target in view. The SpotShot will reduce your field of view. To correct this I plan to buy a pan & tilt with remote to let me move the image to the bottom of the target. In addition, the SpotShot has no software to stabilize the image. Any movement will cause your image to really shake. As you can see I solved this by mounting it to my basement wall. The SpotShot is very easy to use, mount to your scope and connect to your iPad. I use it everyday for hours and I have had no issues with the Wifi connecting. My wife can pull up my shooting from the second floor in our house. When focusing you have a lag time from a correction until you see it on the iPad. This is not an issue for me because I never change the focus. But in the field this could be challenging. The SpotShot is not expensive and I would be willing to have paid twice the price if they could solve the field of view and making the image more stable.
