Was planning to install 4†halo recessed lights ( in vinyl soffit and didn’t want to spend $25+ for the typical brand (Lennox) due to not expecting to use on other projects. This saw is sharp and had no problem making clean cuts - the holes were perfect size for the lights. Product quality seems fine and at $12 was a great value for my use. My only uses will likely be cutting vinyl and Sheetrock for 4†lights, so do not expect to challenge the durability. This saw is a great value for projects/use similar to discussed above.

As the photos show, it did a perfect job cutting a 6 1/2" hole in my new cielling of 1" thick tongue & groove pine boards for new low-profile/flat LED recessed light fixtures.I cannot say anything meaningful about longevity of the hole saw, like many here in the reviews, I just have this small project of the cielling with 5 lights to do. After that, it's going to get put away for future need thar may never come. Or get lent out to a relative someday. However, 1" thick pine is a tougher challenge than the drywall the majority of people will likely use it on, and it did the job well. And checking around, the least expensive alternative in a local retail big-box home improvement store was $7 more. And it was the flat carbide "bumps" type that's better on drywall or tile, and difficult to use on wood. And it's no different as it is made in China too.My only significant advice is that big & wide hole saws, no matter the brand, put a huge amount of torque on the drill. And if they catch, stick, or kick in what you're cutting, they can twist the drill very SUDDENLY and very HARD.This can knock you off a ladder. Or posibly twist the drill so the battery box slugs you right in the jaw, as hard as a decent boxer's punch. If you haven't used one before, it's really worth 10 minutes of time to practice on a piece of scrap board similar to what you plan on cutting the hole into. It's important to get a feel for how the saw behaves on the drill's "Fast - Drill" and "Slow Hi-Torque" settings behave. Plus, it's good to have an understanding of how important it is to keep the saw level and square to the surface you're cutting. Because angling it unintentionally is what will make the teeth on one side dig in, stop the drill, rip it out of your hand, and make it slug you in the face. And, if your drill has a side handle for an extra 90° hold, use it.

I liked the quality of the bit. It gets a fair amount of use and is holding up well.

Most diy guys like myself need a tool for a project but don’t need to spend a lot. This fits the bill . Does not need to last forever but it was sharp and drilled nicely through 3/4†pine

I ended up buying two of these hole saws. The 4" (100mm) version and the 4 1/4" (108mm). This larger 108mm saw gives me a little extra room for error when installing 4" electrical boxes. Besides, this saw cuts "Woold" and the 4" only cuts wood. I am not sure what "woold" is but if I ever need to cut a hole in some I am prepared.I guess I should be concerned that the same poor level of quality control went into building the product that went into writing the ad (for for?). So far both blades cut accurately and remain sharp.

I needed a 4 1/4†hole saw for my new dryer vent to fit through. Blades are sharp and cut through an old coal shaft chute door. Easy to use and a great value for the price. Fit my 1/2†drill chuck.

I bought the 3-1/8" size to cut holes in a few hollow doors (veneer). Initially, the product worked very well, cutting the holes efficiently and clean. After about the 4th hole, the teeth were not cutting, and I could just smell burning wood and some smoke. I was able to manage to cut 2 more holes, but that's about all this can handle. If you're only cutting a few holes in soft material, you'll probably be fine. If you're looking for something more durable, you'll probably want to check out some other products.PROS• Cost• Easy to install and useCONS• Not durable (lasts 4-6 cuts)

Worked fine for what I needed it for, also made a good replacement pilot for the one I lost in my kit. Only drawback is that it won't fit in my smaller drill, so I have to use the bigger one which is a little clumsy in tight spaces. Not a deal breaker though. 10/10 would recommend.

por más que intenté enderezarla, no tuve mucho éxito, podrÃa ser sólo la pieza que me tocó, pero venÃa chueca, poco, pero suficiente para hacer incómodos los cortes.. en condiciones óptimas, seguro que es un excelente producto.

Thought I would try instead of hole dozer at home depot for $46 CDN. Saw blade has thick backer plate and is perfectly round and balanced (smooth cutting with no vibration). Thick paint on new blade makes teeth feel not as sharp as my used hole dozers, but teeth are as sharp under paint with little effort cutting thru 1 X 5 tongue and groove pine boards. Highly recommend.
