Bought this for my son as part of a "Legend of Zelda" themed Easter treasure-hunt. The craftsmanship is very decent considering how inexpensive the boomerang is. I like the abstract Kangaroo design theme as well. As for functionality - the Boomerang DOES work, quite well, actually! Throwing a boomerang properly takes lots of patience and practice - so don't expect it to come back to you on the first (or hundredth, even) try. Once you find the perfect combination of power, angle, and spin, it WILL return to you. We've been throwing it around since Easter and STILL can only manage to get it to return 1 of maybe every 3 throws. The slightest change in throw or wind will change its path. Recommended for anyone interested in traditional wooden boomerangs.

My son purchase this birthday money because he has been wanting a hatchet for quite some time now. I advised him to purchase and clastic one that would be more durable but he just loved the way this one looked and went with it. To my surprise, this has held up for a little under 2 months now just fine and has not splintered or broke. This is light weight so it makes throwing easier.Highly recommended.

Wooden boomerang. Have to throw up in the air not straightforward. Came back multiple times but broke after 5 throws after hitting the ground.

I bought this for my 5 year old son for his birthday and he loves it so much. He, his cousins, and grandpa love to go outside and throw it around trying to get it to come back. It is a great quality and lots of fun.

This thing is junk, it won’t return no matter how you throw it. Calm days or windy days, easy throws or hard throws…doesn’t matter. Save up and get something a bit nicer.

Looks good but don't try using this unless you are nowhere near sidewalks, driveways or roads. Five minutes into throwing this boomerang, it landed on (not thrown at) our driveway and broke in two. Reached out to the seller and was told we shouldn't have used this near a driveway. I guess it's our fault for not living in or near a large open field. Seller offered to refund half the price but never did.

I have no idea how positive reviews exist on this, and I seriously question the validity of them all.I grew up with boomerangs as part of the thing I liked to do outside. I've had various ones. Big ones, small ones, these hook type ones, 3 bladed ones, etc.I know how to throw these, and I know what type of curve they make. Yes, you normally can make them make a nice little loop to come right back at you. It's a matter of throwing them at the right angle and with the right rotation.But one here, however, does not at all work how it's supposed to. First, there isn't enough mass to keep the rotation going. It goes limp in mid air.But the amount of lift, curving, is like a dud.Anyway, it's awful, look elsewhere.

I'd say that the only thing I didn't love about this boomerang is that because it's so hard to control the trajectory that one of them got slightly damaged when it spun onto asphalt. Otherwise, it does spin in a really cool way and provides my kids hours of entertainment trying to get it come back. They almost got it, then we have to leave the park, then they have to try again next time. It's worth every penny, and I bought two right away!
