  • the red line in the center is aligned with the needle of your machine, and the black lines on either side are 1/4 inch to each side from the center of the lines, to represent a 1/4 inch seam allowance; Simply place the tape with the red line in front of the needle as the stitch line
  • The tape removes cleanly, but recommend removing or replacing the tape often or after each project to avoid any residue on your machine; This tape is not meant to be a permanent fixture on the machine, and long term use without replacement may result in some residue to clean off

I have found this very helpful on my unmarked antique machine for quilting. I am thinking this may be my solution for the 1:4 inch dilemma. Just wish they would make some be of this with other markings on it b5/8ths, 1/2, etc. but really like this product.

Do wish this tape lasted a bit longer with each application. Tends to peel up within a few days of use, but does work nicely to help with accuracy.

I am making doll clothes. This tape makes it effortless to sew perfectly the tiny 1/4 inch seams required by the patterns. Easy to apply and remove. Leaves no sticky residue.

I have tried the “masking tape“ trick, but it always seems to come unstuck or wear off.. so I was skeptical when I ordered these. So far I’m very happy, the lines are different colors which helps a lot to keep track of your seam width. Have them on a two Machines a Singer 221 and a Viking.

I usually use masking tape on my sewing machine to mark my sewing line. This looks much better and it’s so convenient. I love it.

This is a great and inexpensive way to maintain straight seams while sewing. Highly recommended and it works just as described as long as you place it in the right position for your machine.
