I use this for ventilation on two 3d printers. The unit it replaced was much louder, and did not move nearly as much air. One of my printers needs ventilation to keep the chamber temp below 35c, and I like that I can use the temp/humidity probe to automatically control the fan speed. Works very well, and the lower noise together made this a very worthwhile upgrade.

This inline fan and controller work great. The fan is very well-built. This is immediately apparent when it's plugged in. It is quite, I use it a s a booster for one room additional ventilation, using speed setting "2". I can not hear if from the room. Even at speed #3 it is quite enough.

Easy to understand and use the controls. Fan is quiet and moves a lot of air.

Works great but a bit pound on full speed though that is to be expected

Moves lots of air for its size

This inline fan and controller work great. The fan is very well-built. This is immediately apparent when it's plugged in. Without using the controller, the fan will just spool up to maximum, and it sounds great as it smoothly ramps up. There is zero vibration or rattle - to me, this is the hallmark of an excellent fan. Even without any mounting and just sitting on a slick self-healing mat, the fan winds up and stays in place just as if it were bolted down. Everything on the man is metal, including the fan blades. And, the fan is quiet, especially at lower speeds. The controller also works well. It has triggers for low and high on both temperature and humidity. Plus, I like that the controller can be locked, so that a stray button tap isn't going to throw things off. The screen works well, and I like the very large temperature display. The display has a manually adjustable brightness, though I wish that the screen was brighter. I'm using this in a brightly lit room, and the display is weakest when looking up at the screen. From other angles, it appears brighter. Also, this controller is actually capable of controlling a 2nd fan, just plug it in. The temperature probe works well, too, and it seems accurate as it matches up to my other thermometers. This is fortunate, as there doesn't appear to be a means of calibrating it. Also, note that the cable for the probe is rated for -40 to +85C. This could be a factor if using this on a 3D printer with more advanced filaments, where the chamber temperature might get up to 100C+. For my use with the basic PLA, PETG, ABS, and ASA, this should be a problem.

I picked this up to help with overwintering my peppers but my setup didn’t quite work out as planned. The peppers died before I could get the construction done but that isn't the fan’s fault. I plugged it in anyways to test it out. Seems to performs well and moves a good amount of air. The build quality is seemingly solid. I didn't find anything out of order but im not a inline fan expert. Ran quietly at lower speeds. Even at higher speeds the noise level is reasonable for an inline fan but I live with a server rack in my office so I might be a bit jaded to high noise levels. Who knows, maybe ill set this up as a air duct for my office that averages 90F in the summer..
