I just wanted a couple of cheap calipers to keep by my desk, workshop, in the car so I could get some approximate measurements on things I'm making or buying. These little calipers are so much more accurate than I expected! The only downside is that they don't lock measurements (as others have said), so when taking measurements, you need to remember to hold the sliding part firmly. But to make up for it, they do have a depth gauge (which many of the electronic ones are missing). I can't tell the true depth gauge accuracy since I didn't have a digital caliper with one to double check, I will just assume it's accurate like the inside/outside measurements are.

The slide is a bit loose and with minimal friction making it impossible or difficult to use unless the scale is visible while measuring. These are not precision instruments, but they are adequate for training or non-precision measurements. For the price, a good value.

These are certainly accurate enough for my needs, but I can never find a caliper when I need one. For this price, one is hung every where I think that I might need one, then saved the rest.

I give them five stars with the understanding that they are plastic student calipers. With that said, they are quite accurate. We did some comparative measurements with these and a digital caliper and the numbers were the same. I also like that they have the depth rod.

The depth rod was bent. The slide action is very wobbly and sloppy. The plastic molding did not have the flashing removed. Otherwise, it's cheap and great for at-a-glance measurements. I have them all lying around just so I have a caliper at hand.It's good for quickly double-checking a measurement before cutting.

Hab mir die Schiebelehren bestellt da es mir normale in der Tasche gerne verbiegt. Das produkt ansich ist nicht schlecht aber der Tiefenmessstab ist in etwa 2mm zu kurz und zu locker um damit zu messen, die Markierungen könnten besser dorchgezogen sein um besser ablösen zu können und auch etwas mehr Widerstand beim schieben wäre nicht schlecht.Alles in allem kein präzisionswerkzeug und für genaue Messungen nicht geeignet, aber um ihn in der Tasche zu haben und schnell mal ein Gewinde oder eine Blechstärke zu messen ganz OK

Der Tiefenmessdorn ist zwischen (!!) 1-2 mm zu kurz; der Schiebewiederstand tendentiell zu leicht, die Skale könnte genauer sein. Insgesamt also sehr ungenau. Aber um eine ausreichende Schätzung von Normteilen (zb.: einer Gewindegröße, etc.) zu bekommen durchaus brauchbar. Man sollte aber die Erwartungen nicht zu hoch ansetzen. Einen Stern werte ich zusätzlich ab da die Fertigungstoleranzen trotzdem zu hoch sind.Aber was soll man von dem Preis mehr erwarten...

It will not give a precise measurement. But good for a quick check of bolt size etc. especially if you're prone to misplacing the good ones
