The grease stays in the tool cavity, not on your hands. To pack a bearing, place the bearing on the piston.
Press down on the cap until the old grease is forced out and the new grease shows on top of the bearing.

I hate packing wheel bearings the old fashioned way. This tool eliminates any guess work as the old grease is pushed out by the new grease. Easier and less mess.

I packed bearing using my hands (bare and with gloves) always messy. I've use the clam shell with grease gun, still messy and wasteful and then I used this product. No mess (while within reason--using grease is going to always have some mess) and no waste. Filled bearing completely and easily. Highly recommend.

This thing is great. I have a grease gun, but I hate changing out the grease and cleaning it, etc. I just took a tube of grease, cut it open, and put the whole thing into this container, which I now use to store my bearing grease. Very easy to use. Much better solution than doing by hand or even the other cone-shaped option (w/ grease gun).

Watched several videos about how to pack/repack wheel bearings and figured if dad can do it, I can do it. Then I realized, to manually pack the bearings the correct way it takes a long time. So I figured I would give this unit a try. I was installing new front inner and outer bearings (x4) so I figured this would save me an hour and ensure it was done correctly. It was easy to see when the grease made it all through the bearings by pressing down on the plunger. Not gonna lie, was a little put off because at first I couldn't get the plunger out to fill it with grease because of the tight fit. Also, when you press down it takes a little effort to fully get the bearing covered in grease. However, if done correctly it took about 30 seconds to fully immerse the bearing in grease. Much faster than the 10-15 mins of manual packing by amateurs.
