I am all about making my life easier when it comes to sewing and hemming is not the most fun part of finishing a garment. This makes it a BREEZE to get the fold in the right place. Seriously, this saved me so much time!!! Used my iron on the hottest setting and had no issues with the ruler - HIGHLY recommend if you want to save yourself time when getting through the last 5% of a project.

I have used the ruler for it's intended purpose with an iron. The ruler, as received, was checked for accuracy and found accurate. The ruler was measured COLD after use under an iron and retained accuracy. It has not been checked for accuracy when HOT.The ruler needs a prominent WARNING that, states the ruler will become hot when used with an iron and will remain hot for a period of time. Users should be advised to use an insulated glove handling the ruler after it's use under an iron. NOTE: a metal ruler will cool more quickly due to radiation.

The product took a while in the post. It arrived safely, well packed and as ordered. I haven't tested it under the iron yet, but the markings are clearly visible and will be helpful. Please note measurements are imperial not metric- good for American users or quilters on the American system.The listed price was 15.22 dollars and 12.21 more were added for shipping, which as a prime member is usually free. For a light and simple tool 15.00 seems a fair price, 27.00 not so much.

I used this product when I was hemming a dress. It was excellent and saved a lot of time checking, measuring and pinning by hand. Very easy to use. Place on fabric, measure your hem plus 0.5-1cm and turn the fabric over the Hot Hemmer Heat Resistant Ruler. Hold in place with one hand and press the fabric with a hot iron. Then move the rule along and press the next section. When you've been all the way around the hem, switch off the iron and remove the ruler. Pin accordingly before blind hemming. Excellent.
