This is the second year I've used this and it works perfectly. The water from city has 8 ph to start. So within a couple months it raises to about 8.4. I use this usually 2 treatments several hours apart retesting and it goes to 7.6. Great product.

Worked great. I like that the bag has a zipper, but with my size pool I use the entire bag so I do not need it. Works great.

Needed a solution fast for high pH and alkalinity in our pool. Ordered last night and it was on my doorstep at 8-9am this morning (with the help of Prime). On our liquid chlorine sanitized inground pool, we had a pH of 8.4 and alkalinity of 160. Not crazy but higher. Dipped a couple gallons of pool water in 5 gal. bucket, and added 1/2 of the 5 lb. Pack of pH down, stirred throughly, added the remaining part of the pack, stirred throughly again, and poured entire bucket into the deep end of our pool. Checked the pH and alkalinity this evening and got 7.6 pH and 130 ppm. Very easy solution but adding it as the directions state and as I described was definitely some of the result of the success. Highly recommend this product!

HTH ph lower works great, dissolves fast, and has clear and easy to use directions. HTH products are always a good value.

I have a salt pool like 35k gallon, I used a Pentire Chroline IC 40, however I am not confident about the Chroline generator, in fact it is . So, I add one bag Shock every week to my pool. Now everything is so good, you don’t need to worry about the algae and other issue anymore. Without Shock, sometimes you will find the algae in the pool wall, although it’s not seriously, however you don’t know the algae will grow or not.
