The sizing is excellent on this hydroponics planter. I have some dragons breath peppers growing at an exceptional rate. They're currently 1 week in and have germinated and sprouted. It's super easy to use and has added value if you're constantly on the go and don't have enough time to go outside and water daily.

I thought the pictures were just advertising, but yesterday I ate my first huge, delicious, home grown salad in the middle of winter! This actually works and is easy to maintain. It's a nice looking unit, very bright though, so I keep it in a corner where I'm not often looking at it directly. This would be great for kids to see how a tiny seed becomes a huge head of lettuce.

This is not my first hydroponic growing system. I wanted something larger than my 3-pod Aerogarden. I'm very happy I bought this one. The instructions were very good, and my lettuce germinated in less than 2 days. The included A/B fertilizer is enough for about 3 weeks, so you will need to buy more soon. I am very happy with the quiet pump and the height of the growing lights. The multiple settings allow for growing different plants, which is also a plus. The pods are very slightly smaller than the Aerogarden, so replacement pods/stickers/covers may not fit the same way. That's not really an issue for me.

This is a great, complete hydroponic set, providing everything you need to start a small hydroponic garden. I have been growing peppers, herbs, etc. hydroponically for a few years using the Kratky method (a different hydroponic technique without the need for pumps, electricity, etc.), and have been pretty successful, however starting from seed always has its challenges to get the right amount of water to the seed without drowning it, or it rotting before it sprouted.When I saw this item I had to have it! I love the various light settings, and sleep setting, and the pump is so quiet, I have to put my ear to the machine to make sure it is actually working! The adjustable height of the light is also wonderful because seedlings need the direct light and heat from the light to propagate, which is not easy when the light is 12" away. The instructions are well written, clear, and the font is large enough you don't need a magnifying glass to read them!The design is well thought out, and the addition of the holes to put the included signs are a cute touch. Because I am not sure what will take, I didn't write directly on them, but rather put a label on it with the type of seed and date planted on it. This way, if the seed doesn't take, or I decide to switch something out, I don't have to worry about trying to get permanent marker off the sign.The stickers to go over the pod are a little tricky, and are not at all forgiving if you don't put them on the right way the first try. The domes that go over the pods are flimsy, and do not snap in, or lock onto the tray - especially if you didn't put the sticker on perfectly. I had to trim a few of the stickers just to get the dome to sit flush. Because there is no condensation, I worry that the seeds may not get enough water from the top, but like I said above, I do have a few that already sprouted after only 6 days, so maybe it doesn't matter that the domes don't fit perfectly.Because I tend to grow larger plants, I like the fact that it comes with plugs for the spaces I do not want to use. I was a little disappointed that it only came with 6 plugs - I was hoping to plant in every other space so the roots would really have a nice space to move around. I am also worried that there will not be enough room for the roots, and that they will get tangled in each other, and the pump. The instructions say to trim the roots, but that will stunt the growth of the plant, which is also not ideal.Time will tell if this will be used just to get the seedlings growing and ready to transplant to the buckets I use for the kratky method, or if I will keep them in here.Regardless, I definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to start growing hydroponically!

I am starting to grow an indoor garden and with this little unit is how I have decided to start.I ordered the white one with 16 pod slots. I must say so far I am very happy but will update later.The slots are not too close to each other which does give some room for growth.The until does not come with any seeds but I purchased what I was looking to start my indoor garden with so it worked out well. The light adjusts up to 15". There is a water window at the front which I really like.It comes with everything you need to start growing except the seeds. I have mine growing lettuce, spinach and a few others and so far everything is growing nicely. I added the nutrients 2 days ago and the plants got a boost with the nutrients.Depending on where you live, do some research as to the seeds you need to buy for the best results.You can set your time to 16 or 22 hours and would require more light during the germination process.I do like this unit as compared to others that I have tried. I would definitely recommend.I am starting a lemon tree and an orange tree next. I'll update how it does with those.
