  • Best Use: Fill the hydroponics growing system kit with clean, purified water without plant food up to the recommended line. Add up to 10 Gardyn seed yCubes and cover the lid. Place the seed tray on the Gardyn device base so plant seeds can receive LED light from the device's plant lights.
  • INCLUDES: Germination tray can hold up to 10 Gardyn yCube plant seeds. Seed tray includes a base, inner tray and vented lid. yCubes not included. Vented lid helps create an ideal temperature and humidity level for quicker and healthier seed growth.
  • WORKS WITH SUN LIGHT AND LED LIGHT: Clear plastic germination lid creates a mini indoor greenhouse like environment for plant seeds to grow. Place near a sunny window or grow light for best results. Avoid being too close to grow lights to avoid burns
  • HOW TO CLEAN: Best practice is to clean the starter tray by hand with mild soap and warm water before every use. Seed starter tray works best when clean water is provided 1x a week
  • DIMENSIONS: Hydroponic plant seed starter tray is approx 12.5" long, 4.6" wide and 4.8" high so it fits in slim locations. Perfect for inside a greenhouse, near a sunny window, under grow lights or on the base of your Gardyn device

I don’t think this is going to save anyone any money- it’s expensive and has a lot of accessories and ongoing costs. I bought this because I wanted an alternative to leafy greens grown in the southwest/ dry climates during the winter months, and I’ve been very happy with it. I have a brown thumb so have gone with the app / full subscription and followed directions- everything looks and tastes amazing! I find it really relaxing at the end of the day to just look at all of the plants and notice the changes just in the last few hours.I have it in the main living space of my house and it takes very little space and essentially is furniture/ art.The light is kind of a downside for a small space- it’s a lot. You can set the timer for each day to meet your lifestyle, but I also want everything grow asap :)I am not good at putting things together but was able to assemble this independently and the tank refreshes are not hard. The food is a powder and takes some work to get into solution, which the app doesn’t really emphasize - if it’s not mixed it’s all in the bottom of the tank. The hydroboost is super expensive at $50 a bottle and I seem to be going through it really fast. I don’t know what it even is, I’m just following the direction’s and they act like if you don’t want your gardyn to be a slimy mess you have to use it.So- it’s an expense and a hobby. No one is saving money with this, but you can have the piece of mind of growing your own food and note having it come from a drought ridden area contaminated with e coli. They have a ton of really good greens you can’t get at the store and it’s well researched that growing things brings a sense of well being and delight we all need.If you can afford it and you’re thinking about it, you should totally buy this!

I’ve been using the Gardyn system for over a year and a half now, and it has truly transformed the way I grow my own produce. The experience has been nothing short of amazing! From the very beginning, the setup was straightforward, and the system’s sleek design fits perfectly in my home. The real magic, however, lies in the results. I’ve successfully grown a variety of produce, with peppers and tomatoes being the stars of my garden. The yield has been impressive, providing me with fresh, home-grown vegetables that taste far superior to store-bought ones. The Gardyn app is user-friendly and offers excellent guidance, making it easy to manage and monitor the growth of my plants. The automated watering and lighting systems ensure that my plants get the care they need, even when I’m busy.Overall, the Gardyn system has exceeded my expectations. It’s a fantastic investment for anyone looking to grow their own produce with minimal effort. Highly recommended!

This hydroponic system is incredible! There were 2 major aspects that sold me on this particular system. I am not new to hydroponics and have noticed what I would improve in my other systems but don't have time or resources to build my own. This model seems to take all those ideas to heart! 1- you can remove each plant ycube separately, being able to keep track of individual plant's roots, cleanliness in each section, and water levels. 2- the responsiveness to questions by this company has been amazing- from email to the app chat, there's been no complaints. They're just so helpful! It took my husband and I about 45mins to build it once it came. Be careful with assembling the lights. The top bar fits tightly and takes a little strength to get to fit properly.Things to note after assembly: it'll take a little time for the lights to work. When they start, they'll first blink 3x. The instruction booklet goes over every step! If you haven't gotten the app yet, you'll have to repeat this step with the lights. The filter did not work until I set up the app. But it tracks your water level, which is nice. You've a 1 month trial period before paying $41 per month for the app membership. This is outrageous and I would never spend that. The app provides you with Kelby, the Gardyn assistant, but without the membership, I'm told you can still have access to your water levels, your nutrient info, your lighting mode, chat, etc. I honestly don't see a need for Kelby and it's not why I purchased this system as I've a green thumb. But again, the design and customer service sold me, although I do feel like I spent a lot for technology I simply don't need. I was looking at the pineapple nutriponics system with lights but it's a large footprint. This system is just sleek! The 30 ycubes come with seeds already placed in the rockwool with a cardboard cover to protect in shipping. Scanning the instruction book's QR codes provides lots of info, including where it suggests to place various plants. All guess work... and really effort... is taken out of this for you after the set up. I do not plan to further purchase preplanted ycubes. Buying my own seeds and rockwool is cheaper and I enjoy it. Additionally, I use to Flora series nutrients for my other systems so I'm not yet sure on this hydro boost it comes with. All in all, I would buy this again!!! I do wish the pump was quieter though!!

On the surface, it's a wonderful system. It's visually pretty to look at. It's works very well and is a great start if you know NOTHING about Hydroponics. But for the money, it's not a great value. Everything about it is expensive and they try to force you into a monthly subscription. If you don't buy the subscription, they triple the price on everything, and they stop giving you any help or guidance. They constantly remind you that you don't have the subscription. Its obvious to me that they are just trying to keep their customers hostage and suck as much money out of them as possible. There's no conductivity/TDS meter. There's no pH meter. You have to lift the entire top off to get to the reservoir for monthly cleaning, which is just a bad design. My advice is purchase the system but leave the company and learn how to do it all on your own. Buy after market parts and nutrients. I'm bitter if you can't tell. Lol.
