Let's face it - hydroponics can be challenging to get used to. I did not want to start off with a large system so I chose this one based on space (small apartment), light height, and pod capacity. Unless you are just growing small herbs - be prepared to transfer your adult fruiting plants to a different system of leave some of the pods empty for room for growth. After two weeks here are my Pros and Cons:Pros1. Space saver! Honestly this think is meant for a small area. And, if you are concerned about aesthetics, it looks really chic so it will not disrupt your space.2. Grow light is strong and easily adjustable - and it can get tall! At least a few inches taller than other systems this size3. Quiet - the aerating pump is very quiet and easy to clean. However- when your water is low it will definitely beep at you (good thing)4. App was easy to download, free, and helps me monitor the system's pump and light settings. There is also an existing plant index which is nice to have handy - and you can label your garden pods in the app.5. Power consumption - no breaker trips in this apartment hahaha! Some other systems use a lot of power.6. Assembly was so simple and laid out well in the instructions - including how to germinate your seeds.Recommendation: Cover your empty slots with gold balls or put foil over a seed cap to block out light from the water to help with algae growthCons1. No pH adjusting solution. Fertilizer solutions traditionally have neutral to high pH. This is fine for seeds and germination, but most plants need a pH range between 5.5 - 6.5 to see healthy growth and harvest. I had to buy pH adjustment solution separately for my strawberry roots.2. Only one plant label. Sure you can label the pods in the app, but some physical labels would be great.3. No black out caps for empty pods to keep light out. Easy DIY fix with golf balls or foil, but other systems come with this feature.OverallNice system for the price (minus some of the bells and whistles that other name brand systems offer....but for $500 + ). If your looking for a serious garden, make sure to get some systems with larger pods to give the plants the space they need. Hope this review helps - I'm less than two weeks in and have healthy looking sprouts for broccoli, parsley, basil, cilantro, and squash. Also have put in two strawberry root systems. Happy growing!

I bought 2 of the LetPot Air units to replace 1 cheaper unit whose pump stopped. VERY pleased with LetPot. Stronger light, much better and quieter pump, there’s a free app to help with scheduling and alerts for low water, the light green color works great on my kitchen counter. BEST of all is the change in my crops. Quicker germination, less algae at seed startup. My leafy greens are really benefitting from the stronger grow lights! The lights adjust easily. So far I’ve cleaned one unit - easy process due to good design. Pump comes with 3 pcs of filter and is very easy for my arthritic hands to take apart and clean. Will be getting more LetPot units as I expand after this winter season’s crops.

Update 12/30- I received another of these as a Christmas gift, so I've now got 2 identical systems. I planted the 2nd one with kale and arugula. In 24 hours, all 10 pods were growing! My first garden is doing great and in just under a month, I've already been able to harvest kale and dill. I love these!I've had this set up since last Friday evening when it arrived. I put 10 different herbs and salad greens in it, one type in each pod. Tonight will mark 72 hours since I set it up and put the seeds in, and as of early this morning, I've got kale seeds sprouting. I'm impressed. It's really quiet, it doesn't take up a ton of space of our counter, and it was easy to set up and start. The app has been seamless so far, and I love being able to input what I planted in each pod. The pump and light (and timer) have all worked flawlessly. I'm not getting the weird low water alarm when the water level is fine that some others have reported either. If you're looking to get into hydroponic gardening, I highly recommend this. Just don't forget your seeds!

I had been wanting to pull the trigger on a hydroponics system for growing herbs and other basic veggies, but there were so many options, I hesitated. When I started to see different options on sale this fall, I finally grabbed the LetPot after reading some great reviews. The product comes packaged well and other than needing seeds, I had everything I needed to start my indoor herb garden. Setup was simple (maybe five minutes) I followed the directions exactly, had everything running and the seeds planted in less than half an hour. The app is VERY easy and allows you to add what seeds or plants you're growing to each spot in the LetPot. There is a chart that shows what to expect when it comes to days the seeds are germinating to when you should expect plant growth. Each spot comes with a small plastic dome to encourage germination and keep the environment damp. The lights put off just a bit of warmth so don't be afraid to keep this one in a cooler spot, but just make sure it's not too cold. Within just a few days I had some germination and after a couple of weeks, I'm starting to see the leaves appear on several of the plants. There's a living basil plant that I transplanted into the system after struggling to keep these plants for very long after buying them in the grocery store. As you can see in the photo, that plant is THRIVING! As soon as this first run of plants is available to use, I'm planning to add a second LetPot to the kitchen and maybe have some tomatoes and other veggies growing alongside my herbs. There are detailed notes available about different plants, veggies and herbs along with a spot where you can add notes about the progress of your garden. This is truly a "set it and forget it" item we've added to our kitchen. The basil plant that I transplanted is looking great, sprouting new growth and it's packed with flavor due to the nutrients that came with the LetPot fertilizer. You can just touch the leaves and the basil oils are on your fingers, which tells me the plant is doing very well. I really can't say enough about how awesome this thing has been so far and I'm sure hoping someone reads my review and decides to jump in just like I did because this was so easy!

Got this for Christmas and got tomato and basil growing fairly quickly. Pictures were taken after 15 days. The hydroponic system is working well and of good quality, the app was easy to sync over the wifi. I had a couple of false empty water alarms the first few days through the all and just had to readjust the sponge in the pump compartment. It has been working perfectly fine since then. Looking forward to my next harvest!

Nice looking unit that has some neat features, a "days planted" counter, lighting that can be controlled from my phone, an led mode light for veggies or flowers that is controlled remotely, a readout that says if the pump is on or not and a low water alarm. The last is my problem. I planted the seeds 3 days ago and it keeps saying the water is low when I can clearly see it is not. I have emailed the manufacturer twice asking for help but they have not seen fit to reply so now I have to decide whether or not to return the unit. I likely will if I don't hear from them soon.Update: I did hear back from the company and we have found the problem so I am keeping the garden and all is well.

I love this! It makes "gardening" so easy. Set up was the longest part but once you're done it's basically set and forget. Although it's hard to forget something that's so exciting. One of the seeds began sprouting after just 2 days. I also love how it's inside so I don't have to worry about bugs and snails eating my plants.

This was so easy to set up and so far my first lot of seeds are looking really happy and healthy. Excellent value to get started with hydroponics

Good little unit especially on sale. App works fine. I appreciate having the water level window on the front. I'm not a big fan of the small fill hole on the side of the unit...it would be more convenient to have it on the front side of the top deck. All in all a good starter unit.
