I had purchased a full light kit and was going to redo all the wiring on my utility trailer when I discovered that the reason I was having trouble with my trailer lights had to do with the ground. Since one of the previous bulbs had burned out, I found that this product worked right away especially after the lights were bonded to the trailer which was very simple to do. There are (3) wires coming off the lights so you should only have to replace the existing trailer tail lights with these and if the rest of the wiring is sound, once the existing electrical connector is connected to your truck or vehicle and the lights in your truck or vehicle are turned on, they should work rather easily. It appears that the lights are perhaps waterproof since I don't see any access to replace the bulbs inside but if you use your trailer infrequently, I expect that they will provide years of service before the bulbs blow. I will probably contact the manufacturer to see if there is a way to replace the bulbs but it may be a better design especially for when they are put on a boat trailer and submerged at a boat launch ramp as it seems like the lights and especially the lenses are practically sealed shut. Time will tell how they hold up but if your trailer wiring looks good but you're having difficulty with the rear lights on the trailer, if you have a voltmeter and find that you have 12 volts available, it turns what could be a all day job into a job that takes less than an hour and doesn't require that you have to crawl under your trailer and reinstall the wiring and other lights. There's often no need to rewire the entire trailer and this saves money as well since you don't end up buying parts that you don't need. Make sure the ground wire is bonded to a piece of metal on your trailer by simply connecting the ground wire from the lights to a screw on the trailer. I'm using my first trailer and I've heard horror stories about replacing trailer lights when I discovered that having the lights connected to the 12V supply but especially having the lights grounded. I was replacing the other rear light but I ran out of daylight so I reinstalled the screws that attached the red rear trailer lights. As soon as the screw attached to a piece of metal on the trailer, the lights started working where I had wasted hours with my voltmeter and other tools on the existing lights but I wasn't getting any power until the screws were installed. I probably could have saved even more money by just buying the burnt out bulb but I liked how well these lights are sealed to prevent water entry.

They work. They are bright. They are not the highest quality…but what do you expect at this price point. Great deal for the price.

These lights were very simple to set up. Haven't driven with them yet but having them hitched up everything did work. They're bright too. Only time will tell if they are waterproof.

I am happy with the quality and brightness of these lights. I replaced the lights on an older trailer with these and they wired up easily.
