My pontoon trailer is only 6 years old and both rear lights were bad and 1 was partially filled with water. Since no rear access used a stiff putty knife and flat blade screwdriver to pop out light from gromment as they are just pressed in. These replacements seem better quality then the OEM and less than 1/3rd the parts price plus included new wire pigtails. I cut off the old pigtails (much looser fit even to the old and new lights) and replaced the scotch lock style connectors with crimp/heat shrink connectors since these lights get submerged launching/loading my pontoon. New pigtail connectors have a nice positive snap (compared to old ones so I would definitely replace) when fully seated just make sure both sides are flush with the back of the light. Reused the old pvc gromments as the cutout in the light trailer frame was a little too big for the supplied gromments but not this kits fault. Connected a 9V battery to the wire harness with aligator clips to test running and stop lights. All lights function as they should. I’m sure these will last longer than the OEMs.

For the price and quality, I rate this five stars. The lens (pair) are good quality. Including the harness is a bonus, because I didn’t need them, as I simply plugged into my current boat trailer. Going to led was much more brighter and contrasting, especially going from clear lens to red. I repurposed my current rubber trim around the new lens because the new lens came with cheap harder plastic like material. And it was easier to put toy original trim back in and then bang the lens into the trim gasket from the front, with my palm. I’m still giving five stars and recommending because the trim it came with would still be adequate, if needed. And the new lights like much better.

great product for updating pre-existing trailer lights or new builds. fits perfect with the holes that where already on the trailer and am very satisfied.
