This thread cutter is probably the best tool I ever bought for my sewing hobbies. It sits steady as I position my chain piecing above the blade. Each time I drop the thread down onto the blade, the thread cuts instantly. The blade is positioned in a safe way to prevent cuts to my skin or fingers. I can see it, but I cannot touch it. I love it and you will love it too!

This is great when cutting threads from chain piecing. A time saver for sure. I like that it came with a replacement blade. The blades are easy to find and change. It is stable when using it.

Where has this been and why have I just now discovered it? I have never done chain piecing much because it is a pain to deal with using regular scissors, etc. However, I got this and chain pieced a quilt yesterday. This thing is MARVELOUS. Don't think you need it? Trust me, you won't believe how much time this thing saves. This one uses standard razor blades so it can be changed out easily when it becomes dull. The other popular branded one uses tiny little blades and I don't know if you can get those anywhere or not. I bought it first and the blade installed on it was very dull. And, this one is cheaper. Just buy it.

Love this thread cutter for the piecing I do when quilting - makes cutting the pieces so easy. Came with an extra razor blade, so it should last for a long time! Sturdy, light-weight - easy to take when I need to sew in a different location.
