Gang box extenders worked as described, but I had to go buy longer screws to connect to the boxes inside the wall. No fault to the product. Backsplash stone was thick, and the boxes inside the wall were recessed a bit deeper than anticipated. Be sure to measure the depth before installing, as stopping for go get longer screws was really inconvenient. Also, confirm screw size. I think the ones provided are #6, but I had to get #8s too. Otherwise, installation went okay. It was tough to see beyond the extender to screw it to the wall box. Price and quality are great compared to purchasing locally.

I needed two extensions for 2×4 electrical boxes when I added 1/4 inch pegboard to a wall, spaced 3/4 inch off the wall, so in toto, I had a one-inch gap to fill. These worked very well. They fit over the existing receptacles -- one was a wider GFCI receptacle -- without difficulty. The extensions slipped into the existing box with no difficulty, making the existing box with the extension was only slightly narrower. The "ears" on the top and bottom of the extension were plenty wide to seat properly on the pegboard. It made a nice, clean installation.The extensions seem quite robust, but they are also a bit flexible, making maneuvering them over the receptacles easier.They included two 2-inch 6-32 phillips-head flat head screws, and they also seemed good quality. Phillips head, made them easier to drive.I am very satisfied. I can think of no disadvantages.

The plastic is thin but once everything is installed, that shouldn't be a problem. These worked for outlets that had been installed for 1/2" sheetrock but 5/8" was required, fitting into the existing outlet box nicely as well as outlets that had been installed to the 2X4's but after sheet rock was applied, both a wainscotting and a 1/2" trim kickboard had been installed on top of it. These filled the space, extending the outlet box and helped stabilize the outlet when a metal cover was installed with it, leaving reduced concerns about the previously existing gaps. I've already used them to correct other outlets and switch boxes I've found with this problem.

I installed these in my garage where the sockets were sunk in a bit. They work fine and now have more peace of mind since they keep the power away from the wall.

This is a solid box and I believe it will work for the project that I am needing it for...the only disappointment is it came with NO screws, so now I will have to go to a hardware store and purchase them. Frustrating as the picture that is included with the description of product clearly has screws included. Maybe somewhere it states that they are not included...but it certainly is not clear.

I had to trim a couple to get them to fit in some boxes. But for the price you can't go wrong. At my local hardware store they have a version of this for almost $20 each.This saved me.
