I saw this and thought it would be better to heat water in my cup than use a microwave to heat the water for my tea. The immersion water heater has clear instructions on the box.It takes a few minutes to boil the water, 30 seconds after unplugging to wait for the unit to slightly cool and remove from water and lay it on a saucer. the noise it makes is q whisper shoooooo.when you use this heater immerse in water first then plug in. Once water starts boiling then unplug, wait 30 seconds and remove the element to let it cool further and dry, put back in pouch, store till next time.I highly recommend this seller 100% and the price is right.

This heater works quite fast, gets the water very hot and has a nice little travel bag. I have yet tio use it overseas for whihc it was really purchased, but it calims to be dual voltage, which is hard to find.

This comes with a plug adapter for other countries. I used this in Namibia with the adapter. Super fast hot water using 230v. Very slightly slower in the US with 110v. Be sure you have somewhere safe to rest it while it cools.

Lasted less than a week, bought it to travel in the EU… while it comes with the 240v plug, it’s too much for this device to handle.

I managed to burn a spot on my kitchen counter because I was talking on the phone and plugged it in without it being in the water. DO NOT USE THIS IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE DISTRACTED!!!!!!!!!!YOU CAN BURN DOWN YOUR HOUSE!!!!!!!It heats up the water nicely, but do not let children use it and BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!It does not have a thermostat and can get really hot if it is not in the water.I used it on a camping trip and it worke great to heat up water, but after the experience testing it in my kitchen, I was super careful. PUT IT IN THE WATER BEFORE PLUGGING IT IN, AND UNPLUG IT BEFORE TAKING IT OUT.

I like to drink hot tea early in the mornings. I would have to go downstairs to heatmy cup of water in the microwave and then come back upstairs to read the news on the web. This little gadget is perfect. It heats my water to boild in about seven minutes. It's completely cool to the touch after being out of the water in about five mintes. It works great. I have nno complaints.

UPDATE: When I posted this review, the seller saw it and contacted me. He felt the unit was not preforming as it should and sent me a replacement. This unit worked well within parameters. What impressed me about this seller is that I did not contact him demanding a replacement. He took it upon himself to make this right. I will DEFINITELY buy from him again! This works to heat water but is very slow.

This will work on 120V or 240V, but on 120 it takes more than 10 minutes to get a good roiling boil for tea. I'm sure it's great on 240V but I wish I had looked for something optimized for 120V, they exist, but are more expensive.

Awesome gadget for heating small amounts of liquid. Not designed for, but did heat soups and pre-made beverages. Added a switch to outlet so it could remain plugged in an operable via switch. Perfect for someone where using a kettle is not an option

Antes me habian surtido otro más pequeño y de metal brillante. Hay que ener mucho cuidado al usarlo. Apenas esta fuera del agua, se quema y queda inutilizable.

Duda razonable a la calidad de la materiales...se supone que es acero inoxidable pero las caracterÃsticas son de una aleación diferente... Y no me da confianza para calentar agua para beber..

I bought this to be used with a power block during power outages. The dual voltage is very useful as power blocks can't be used to boil a kettle. Does the job very nicely and quickly. I can now make hot drinks in the event of any power outages. Comes with a handy storage bag.
