I was a little surprised at how heavy 7 lbs feels. I bought this for my mother who has a movement disorder that makes it difficult for her to sit still. We lay this over her lap and it calms her. It’s not a complete cure but she says it’s comforting so that’s good to know. Because it’s so heavy, I actually have to take it off of her haha. But she likes it. It’s a nice quality blanket.Definitely not a full size throw blanket, but perfect for what we needed.

Purchased this for my 22 year old daughter. She really likes it. But said the shape was odd, and it would have been better just as a long rectangle shape. But it serves its purpose for her anxiety.

This is a great weighted blanket that can be used in a chair. It covers just enough of a person to give the sensation of grounding without making a person feel trapped by the weight. It is very soft and is easy to carry around. The zipper bag it comes in is very close in size, so you may want to get something a little less tight. Or you will need to be very good at folding and pressing it into the bag. Other than that, it is a great buy and a solid value.

I bought this for my therapy practice. If I have a client who comes in overstimulated, overwhelmed, etc they can lay this on their lap during session. It’s very soft, comfortable, a great value. My clients have really enjoyed its calming effects.
