Plug and play

You can plug it on your audio interface or microphone without istall any software.

  • Please turn on the 48v phantom power on your audio interface or mixers when using. The microphone amplifier itself has no power supply and must be provided with 48v power by the phantom power supply to work.

  • DM3 provides the previously fixed 28db gain. After the connection is successful and the 48v phantom power is turned on, the signal amplification is extremely obvious. You can compare the input volume before and after connection.

  • The DM3 mic preamp provides fixed 28db gain.It amplifies the signal but also the noise.thus, you will feel a lot of noise is added. In this case,Please turn down the gain on your audio interface then the the noise will be smaller or even disappear.

  • Most systems provide 24v phantom power while DM3 must be used with 48v phantom power. In this case, please connect an external 48v phantom power supply to DM3 to solve this problem, an audio interface without phantom power can also be solved this way

  • No! It only works with dynamic and ribbon microphones. If you connect a condenser mic such as AT2020 which mentioned in the review, it won't damage any of your equipment because it has no power of its own, it just won't work.

gives my røde procasters gain stage that boost to bring it to mic level to be heard.participants in conference meetings always tell me that i sound as if i were in a professional radio station booth, and im convinced i'm getting enough clean gain to the mic to provide that warmth to the sound of my voice.much less expensive than the competition and the gain is still 100% pristine. what's good is that it doesn't pass thru phantom power from your interface to the dynamic mic, so you can rest easy that you won't cause undue interference to your microphone.be wary, the way these devices work is that they need phantom power from your interface, and they plug into dynamic mics which don't play nice w phantom power, so that's what i mean when i say they don't pass thru; they take the interface which applies the phantom power, but then is given to the manayo (mic activator/preamp) which passes thru gain without sending phantom power to the mic itself.there are a lot of butting heads about if phantom power damages dynamic mics, but i just act like they do, so im not going to test it.

Got this a while back and it is used in my vocal mic setup on a vintage mic. This sounds clean, and best of all it's cheap. When I say clean, it is actually clean. I've tried cheap "C-Lifter" type of knock-off with reviews claiming they are "clean" but when I tried them they were not. This was used in comparison reviews of similar products I own and serves as a "standard" for price factor and cleanliness in sound.Still works great and I have no issues otherwise.

Honestly, I did not expect this to perform as well as it does. I got it to use with a Zoom H6, which has pretty noisy preamps (EIN of -120dBu), but it even improves upon my Presonus Studio 26c interface (good preamps, but not the best by today's standards (EIN -125dBu)). The product doesn't feel flimsy, but it doesn't feel particularly sturdy, either. But at $30 (compared to $80 or more for the name brands), I can live with that. However, you should only get this if your audio device has an EIN rating higher than -128dBu (-120dBu, for instance; most modern preamps are REALLY good, though) or it doesn't have enough amplification for your dynamic mic of choice (keep in mind this won't work with a condenser).Definitely worth the price for the performance.

The original unit I received had a loud hum/buzz, making it unusable. However, the seller contacted me and sent me a new unit that is much better. There is still a little bit of a hum, but it is a lot less than the first unit they sent and can be eliminated with the de-noiser on my software. It would still be better if I didn't have to use the de-noiser, but it is at least usable. So, A+ for customer service, B+ for the product itself.

Not sure if the product was broken or the description was inaccurate, but I purchased this to use with my dynamic microphone and the output was quieter than when I just plug it straight into my audio board.

This delivers exactly as promised. It is 100% clean gain that will save you the $100 extra you would have spent on the other preamps. I was hesitant but I am extremely happy with this. There is absolutely no hum or static sound even after amplifying in audacity. Definitely worth buying.

This review comes 6 months after purchase!I was looking to get something to boost my sound gain for my Rode Podmic that is running out of my generic Behringer UMC-22 mixer/dac without cranking the volume to 85%. While searching for a Cloudlifter, I saw this thing for a third of the price. The earlier reviews look sketchy, but I took a chance when it had a 10$ off coupon available for it. Boy I tell you what a surprise, this thing works as intended right out of the box. I no longer have to crank my gain volume to 85% to get my Rode Podmic to work loudly, thus eliminating background noise and static. My volume doesn't even need to hit 12 o'clock on the mixer dial if I set windows Microphone volume to 100%Will buy again if I end up buying a second dynamic microphone!

You get what you pay for. Does it boost your gain? Yes. Does it do it cleanly, like they claim? No. Might be okay with some dynamic mics, but for super quite mics like Rode PodMic and Shure SM7B, it creates a lot of background noise at the gain levels you will need.I bought a Triton, tested the two, and sure enough, the Triton was much better. For $10-20 more, I wouldn't bother with this. Get a Triton.

To put some perspective on my review...I am a new podcaster and currently, I used a Shure SM58 beta with a lynx xlr cable connected to the Behringer U-Phoria UMC204HD digital interface. This digital interface had to be turned up to near %80 gain to get the mic to where I wanted it, but of course with noise and that is of course is not a good thing. So what is a poor guy to do? Well, start looking for an inline preamp...Of course, I checked out the Cloud lifter which sells for approximately $150 cdn, the dynamite preamp which sells for approximately $134.00 cdn and the Fethead which sells for $100 at the time of the review. While researching the three above units in question, I stumbled across the Manayo DM3 on Amazon. It is clearly a clone of the SE Electronics Dynamite stick as I discovered after searching for more information on it. I was skeptical at first but after reading the reviews here and watching YT videos, I thought it was worth it and as a prime member, I could return it if I did not like it!Upon receiving my Manayo preamp, I plugged it into the 204 DI and the first thing I noticed was I had to have my gain on the Digital Interface turned all the way down and it was still too loud.If this happens to you, don't worry...........that is why you have the PAD button on the interface! To attenuate (reduce) the db. Once I hit the PAD button, I got the perfect amount of db going through my midas preamps in the 204. I get crisp and noise free sound at 30 to 40 db on the digital interface! If you are on the fence about the Manayo DMC 3, don't be, it's worth every penny and at least half the cost of those other guys, its SO WORTH IT! I bought it when it was 20% off on Amazon which was $39.66 cdn (regular price was $49.58 cdn).SAY YOUR MONEY AND GET THIS..........................NO REGRETS!!

Cumple con lo que promete. Aproximadamente 26db más. Sonido limpio. Estoy satisfecho.

Bought an Fduce sl40 as a begginer xlr mic just for gaming not content creation as I wanted to impress my friends with the quality of my mic. I bought the vocaster one for the audio interface and just had a hunch I'd need an inline Amp to be actually heard in discord and games without having the crank the gain on the vocaster all the way to 100, which this handy little device allowed me to avoid doing. Gain on the vocaster is set to around 50-60% with a filter on to make my voice even more crisp and radio caster sounding. Overall very happy I purchased this budget friendly inline mic Amp. Would recommend for people who also want to actually be heard on their new xlr mix for discord, calls and gaming.

I got this to pair with a cheap sm57 knock-off. The two work together like magic. Perfect price point to make your inexpensive cardioid sound like a semi decent condenser. Gives you a clean boost without too much noise. Make sure you have an interface with phantom power.
